I am not your typical penguin suit 40s to late 50s white male DJ. I am female, for one, and I am in my late 20s. I don't think music stopped in the mid-80s. After a 6 year career in radio(Lazer 105.9FM and 92.9 The Bull in Lawrence) I like to think I know what makes a party flow well. I have been a mobile DJ as a part time gig for more than 7 years. In that time, I have djed more than 100 weddings and I have enjoyed every one! Since this is a part-time thing for me, I also don't charge a huge chunk of change. Anyone who charges $1,000 or more to DJ a wedding is kidding themselves. You will get a great professional DJ/Emcee service from me without breaking your budget. I provide optional dance floor lighting at no extra charge. You also won't get "cheesy" with me. I am there to guide the party, yes, but you won't hear me barking on the mic at any chance I get all throughout the party/wedding reception. I do know how to get a party going on the mic when necessary, however. The focus should always be on the guest of honor (whether that be the bride and groom or Birthday girl/boy etc). I pride myself on providing a good music mix so that everyone from any generation will hear something that resonates with them. I also love to get bride and groom input on what songs they DON'T want and what they definitely DO WANT. I am more than OK with leaving "Shout" and "Celebration" and "We Are Family" behind. (But I am also OK with playing those songs if you want them). I am flexible with any kind of music that a bride and groom may want. I have catered to anything from an all Latino music wedding to Jewish weddings, etc. I love unique weddings! I can travel to DJ weddings all around the KC metro, whether that be in Topeka, Kansas City, Lawrence, or anywhere in between or surrounding areas.
