I called for a consultation and she was very pleasant and informative. She explain to me what I needed to do and how to do it. I am so excited and can’t wait to exchange vows. She is the added touch that we need.

On April 21, 2018, I contacted Dr. Jefferson about having a brief elopement ceremony in Chicago. The initial conversation went very well and we spoke about her $200 fee and following up with a call to discuss the specifics of the short ceremony. I paid the $200 fee in total and on 4/29/2018, scheduled a call for 4 pm the following Friday, May 4. She did not call at 4pm and when I called a few minutes later, she did not pick up. At 4:23p she calls and does not apologize at all for being late for the call. Furthermore, I no longer have time to have the call that day. She has an attitude because I won't have the call at her convenience. This experience is very off putting given I have already paid her in full and she does not value being on time or even communicating that she will be late for the call. I try to overlook this event and proceed forward by scheduling another day to discuss the ceremony. I text her to ask if she can email the vows she will use at the ceremony and she sends a text instead of an email initially, then follows up with an email of 3-4 sentences. This was not helpful, but confirmed we would need to use our own vows instead of the ones she provided. A week later, I send her a draft of the ceremony to include specific vows and bible verses and ask if she can give me a call once she reviews. At this point she calls and begins to scream at me and talk nonstop about how she doesn't think this situation will work and if I don't feel comfortable with her and then she offers a refund. At this point, I realize this woman is unstable and definitely does not have the professionalism or kindness to officiate our wedding. I accept her offer of a refund. Within an hour she sends a 25% refund which is obviously not what she offered on the phone call. How can she suggest canceling the event and send only 25% back? She has low integrity. Buyer beware of this woman and her business. I rather lose $100 than be married by a despicable person such as herself.
