Liz was wonderful to work with! We wanted a nice, casual atmosphere and great food, well needless to say, Doc Ford's delivered! We had a fabulous time!

We had our ceremony on the beach and our reception at Doc Ford's. We rented our their private bar and patio. The patio seated all 70 of our guests very comfortably, and we used the indoor bar for dancing and the buffet. The staff was friendly and professional. Everything was very straight forward with no hidden charges. They went above and beyond expectations. All we had to do was set up a sample table and they took care of the rest.

They are very flexible and you can pick and choose services and catering options to match your budget. We thought everything was very affordable (only spent $28 per head) and there is no extra fee for renting the space. You only pay for the catering. They provide linens and cake cutting at a reasonable cost (we took advantage of this).

We were able to hook up our computer to their sound system, which plays on both indoor and outdoor speakers. The staff had it playing for our guests as they arrived.

The space was ours for the entire day and we were even allowed to clean-up the following morning (very convenient since we had a dinner reception).

The food was absolutely delicious! The lime panko crusted fish was a big hit with all the guests.

I highly recommend Doc Ford's Sanibel! Great staff, Delicious food, and Cool atmosphere! We had a wonderful time!

This place is amazing. We had our reception at the restaurant -- they have a separate room for special events. It can hold up to 100+ people (I believe -- we only had 75). Their food is amazing and the prices can't be beat. It's definitely one of the best restaurants on Sanibel/Captiva. The decor is fun (like an old crab shack) and they are very helpful. They set everything up for us, served the champagne and pies and cakes we bought from Costco and treated us like royalty. Can't recommend this place enough. It's also a great rehearsal dinner location. The price, for us, was ~24 to 27/person for a buffet with four appetizers, two entrees, and three sides. The total cost included tips.
