Alex was wonderful to work with. He scheduled an informational call with me as soon as I reached out, and I got great vibes from him right off the bat. We had another call about a month before my event where we went through all of my song selections, timeline and a few special requests I had for him. He was super accommodating - even when he learned he’d need to completely move his set up between the ceremony and the reception. Without missing a beat, he said he could do it and offered to bring on his business partner, Michael, to help him for the first part of the evening so the move would be quick. Alex and Michael arrived right on time, got set up quickly, hit their song cues perfectly during the ceremony and then got re-set up before anyone even noticed there was a break in the music. It was clear that they are both true professionals. After the ceremony, Alex transitioned seamlessly into the role of emcee for our entrance, dances, cake cutting and toasts, and then back to DJ to get the dance floor going after the formalities wrapped. Alex had a great read on our guests’ energy and played a great mix of music to appeal to every age group in the crowd. I’m pretty sure every single guest was on the dance floor at some point the night - even my 91-year-old grandmother couldn’t resist dancing to Sweet Caroline. Throw some Lizzo and Britney Spears into the mix and we had ourselves a party! Alex is really fantastic at what he does, not to mention very fairly priced. I’d highly recommend his services to any couple!

Michael Murphy provided DJ services for our wedding and he was amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure that everything for our big day went smoothly. We met with him two times leading up to the wedding and he gave us confidence that the whole day would go off without a hitch. He gave us song ideas, offered to help create a mix for the father/daughter dance, attended the rehearsal ceremony, made announcements throughout the night, and kept the dance floor packed. Michael is a great dude and was the best DJ we could have hoped for. We can't recommend him enough!

Wow!! Michael Murphy did an amazing job at our wedding!!! He was very patient with my husband and I! We had a lot of detail that he picked up on instantly! Everyone said how great the music was!! We could not have been more pleased to have Alex as the DJ for our wedding! He was professional and prompt, meeting with us before the wedding day to go over all details. He ran the show well, but didn't overdo it with cheesy commentary. He kept the room dancing all night long!

He was super easy to work with - in planning, he knew when to provide some guidance and recommendations, but left us with plenty of room for us to make our own decisions. He took the initiative to make us a mix of our first dance, and also proactively came to our ceremony rehearsal just to make sure that everything would go smoothly on the day of! Michael Murphy was an absolute joy to work with. It seems a common theme during wedding planning is constantly trying to get a hold of your vendors, and Michael was the complete opposite. He was always proactive in reaching out to us. He was organized and asked questions to get a clear idea of what we wanted. During wedding week, I sent him quite a few emails with requests and questions, and he responded promptly. I was always confident he had everything under control. He’s incredibly nice and awesome to work with, and I only hope we have another event where we can use him again!

Alex did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding! From the first meeting, he made us feel so comfortable and confident in his work. Our wedding planner referred us to Alex with DJ for Lovers, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with Alex! Right from our initial meeting, I felt very comfortable with letting him run the show. We told him that at the end of the day, we wanted the dance floor full and he did a fantastic job feeling out the crowd and keeping it packed the entire night. As the bride, I was looking for a lull in the songs so I could welcome more guests, but he played song after song that kept me and the guests on the dance floor all night. I was having too much fun to step away. Our top priority for our wedding was to ensure all our guests had as much fun as possible, and Alex made that happen! I wish I had a playlist of all the songs he played so I could listen to it over & over; he was that good!
