Most DJs bring lights that cycle on a timer, running beside the music rather than with it. I do something different. Ten strands of LEDs hang the length of the room, a thousand points of light that are controlled one at a time, and I program every song in your set by hand before the night starts. I sit with each track and mark where the build begins, where the drop lands, where it falls away.

That means the canopy can hold one deep color, ripple end to end, or chase the beat across the floor, and it does it on the song rather than near it. When the chorus arrives, the whole room arrives with it. People notice without knowing why.
