DJ Odiaka is awesome, we had an absolute blast on the dance floor at our wedding. Highly recommend!

My now husband is huge into music, which meant we knew choosing a DJ for our wedding day was going to be very important. We met with Odiaka in-person (at a cute little coffee shop in Oakland), and completely hit it off. We talked about music we love the whole time and the vibe we were going for at the wedding. We left knowing Odiaka HAD to be our DJ. And boy are we glad he was.

It was my dad's dream to put together a Father / Daughter dance montage, and Odiaka helped mix several songs together for us. We gave him a list of must plays and do not plays and built incredible playlists off of our suggestions. Some of our favorite moments during the cocktail hour and dinner were hearing one of our favorite songs in the background, contributing to the magical vibe of the wedding.

We also had a somewhat complicated processional song lineup (three songs and incorporating a live performer) and he absolutely crushed it. We also had several readings and microphones were never an issue - the audience could hear everything perfectly!

And the dance party was INCREDIBLE. There wasn't one single lull and the dance floor was packed the entire night (which is a rarity at a wedding!).

Since music is so important to us, we asked Odiaka to put together a few playlists of approximately what he played during different parts of the evening so we could relive it over and over again. He did it no problem and it's absolutely magical!

Odiaka was extremely easy and super fun to work with. Highly highly recommend and hope we get to work with him again in the future!

After weeks of deliberations, we settled on having a DJ for the most important part of our wedding -- the dance floor. In advance of the big day, we did a lot of research and looked at quite a few DJ options. In the end, our wedding planners highly recommended Odiaka. They said simply, "you'll regret it if you don't go with Odiaka -- he's who we would have at our wedding." We were sold. In advance of the big day, we did a prep call with Odiaka. He asked all the right questions so that he could get an overall feel for the wedding, our style, and our guests.

When it came to the wedding day, he knocked it out of the park. We've had at least a dozen guests tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to, with almost everyone talking about how amazing the music and dancing was. Odiaka read the room, and just perfectly played the right songs. Not to mention, he's just a cool, kind guy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. You'll regret it if you don't go with Odiaka :-)

DJ Odiaka was super! We asked him to help with AV and music throughout our wedding, from the ceremony through the reception. He was relaxed, professional, and knew exactly how to get everybody dancing. I was especially appreciative that he helped with set up audio for a video that we wanted to play during the reception (a toast from a family member who couldn't make the wedding). I highly recommend going with DJ Odiaka for your wedding or event and letting him be creative — his taste in music is awesome.

Odiaka was great. He played great music and read the crowd perfectly. After the wedding we had so many people come up to us to tell us how much they loved our DJ. He was incredibly professional playing great music in spite of 116 degree heat!

Odiaka was a great guy. Laid back and easy going, he took our specific tastes in music and kept the dance floor packed.

As a wedding planner and coordinator, I've worked with many DJs. Odiaka has all the best qualities for a DJ (professional, kind, responsive, calm) and none of the worst (cheesy, sleazy, etc). We recently worked together at a wedding in the midst of a heat wave - even in 110 degree heat, he kept his cool and stayed positive! Finally and most importantly, he totally understood the bride and groom's musical taste, read the room, and kept the dance floor packed all night with a blend of old school hip hop and newer hits. I can't recommend him enough!

Odi is the best DJ in the world. Hands down. He moved our wedding along perfectly, went above and beyond in finding the obscure songs we had picked, and in a pinch, filled in some music during the ceremony when we had missed a section. I had SOO many friends tell me how great the DJ was. Some even asked if he was single. whoo hoo... I highly, highly recommend Odi as a DJ. He's classy, reads the crowd well, and sincerely seems to be having fun all the same time. He's amazing.

If you're looking for someone who knows old school hip hop and R&B, this is the man for you! We found DJ Odiaka through of a friend and we're so glad he was our DJ! Everyone was talking about how awesome the music was at our wedding!

We met with him a month before the wedding and told him the types of artists we enjoyed listening to. A few weeks before the wedding, we sent him a list of 20 songs we wanted him to play during the cocktail hour and the reception, along with our processional and recessional. Then, we left it up to him to pick songs out for the party and he did not disappoint! Everyone had a great time and the energy was so positive.

We had Odiaka for our wedding and he was amazing! He did a great job with last minute schedule changes as far as his MC duties. He also had the laid back personality that was a great match for us. We're definitely not the type of couple that's dancing in an abandoned warehouse to EDM with glow sticks. We're also not the cheesy, loud, salesy type of people. We had problems with previous DJs when meeting them because they either wanted to use our wedding as an extension of their set from the club or were so over the top that we couldn't stand to be around them for 30 minutes let alone for hours. Odiaka put at us ease as a perfect mix and it was great working with him.

Working with him on what to play was really easy too. We live out of state, but Odiaka did a great job to get our preferences. The actual wedding music was awesome. The dance floor was always packed. On the actual wedding day everything is so hectic and even though I generally micro manage things, it's not possible on the wedding day. Luckily, there's no need to micro manage Odiaka because he's an amazing DJ. Thanks again!
