Joaquin made our wedding perfect- he was professional, responsive, and kept us dancing all night long! He met with us a few times before our wedding, gave us a guide to help plan the evening, and executed the day of flawlessly. We would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding! 10/10!

Congratulations, if you’ve found this review it means you don’t need to look any further for your wedding DJ. Hire him immediately! Joaquin was recommended by our wedding planner and he more than delivered. For starters, we had FOUR different areas at our venue that needed sound equipment set up and managed in a pretty tight timeline– including outside on a bluff in the snow. The amount of anxiety I had thinking of the logistical planning of this that he didn’t even blink twice at. And, on the day of our wedding, he set up everything in a literal snow storm (and with a broken elevator!) and had everything working perfectly. He flawlessly transitioned our outside ceremony to our cocktail hour, to our dinner room, to our dancing room without a hitch.


One of my biggest pet peeves with wedding DJ’s is when they play a cocktail hour/dinner playlist on a loop. Joaquin not only incorporated our favorite music, but managed to put in his own suggestions throughout the day based on guest’s preferences too (we requested those on our RSVP’s) so every moment was new and exciting. His MCing between moments during the wedding was exactly what we wanted–quick, direct, and kind.


If I wasn’t already impressed with his professionalism, I was truly blown away by how he managed the dance music at the end of the night. He was able to keep the party going with a great mix of music that even the most stubborn guests up on the dance floor. Thank you so much Joaquin for making our wedding day perfect for us!

Joaquin was an amazing choice for our wedding in Mazama WA! Joaquin spoke to us several times to get to know us and helped suggest song choices along that way that worked perfectly. Everything was so seamless and he was able to adapt quickly when I suggested an all outdoor party the day of. He had us dancing for hours and I got tons of compliments from guests about how great it was!

Joaquin was great to work with! Very responsive and collaborative throughout the wedding planning process. He has a great taste in music and is also very genuine and positive which made for a great DJ/MC. All around wonderful experience working with Joaquin.

I never write reviews, so when I do it carries weight. DJ Good Cat is a phenomenal choice. He did exactly what we wanted and added in his ideas as well. My husband and I are picky as heck with our music and he knocked it out of the park. We had a rock and metal themed wedding and it was perfect. We even wanted to add music trivia and he was down to create mash ups and play them. He’s genuine, transparent, and flexible. I think the only thing that could have been different was to play the music a little louder, but we had tables in front of the speakers and he didn’t want to make my guests go deaf, so that was very considerate lol. He had a great time with it and you could totally tell.

absolutely 10/10 recommendation!! We did not have capacity for a full day event for our wedding so we only could have him for 2 hours (We have a very lively group and wanted as much dancing as possible).

We had 2 easy meetings with Dj good cat leading up to the wedding. We created a few playlists and told him we really were bummed we wouldn’t get as many songs as we want —he let us know how he would make it happen and then he did! he sped up the songs, made mixes and made sure we got hear as many songs from our selection as possible—we had such blast and so did everyone else! Super fun energy during, no awkward moments, absolutely worth your time & $. (We also liked that he had good relationships with our venue!)

Will absolutely book again for future events

DJ Good Cat was communicative, responsive, professional, and fun to work with. He went above and beyond by mixing our own first dance medley. He kept the dance floor bumpin' and everyone had a great time. As an MC, his speaker and mic arrangement was great, so everyone could hear. He communicated well with the crowd and the reception moved seamlessly. We appreciated how genuine and personable he was to work with. Would recommend.

I found DJ Good Cat on Wedding Wire and was able to book him quickly. I looked at and interviewed with other DJs that were significantly more expensive since I felt clueless about what to look for in a DJ and wanted to see what the range of offerings were. After our phone call with DJ Good Cat I was sure he would be great for our wedding. We liked he was familiar with one of the artists that is very special to us and had all different options needed for music and equipment. He was also happy to work through different ideas that might be more on the nontraditional side (which was a huge plus for us).

Throughout the year leading up to the wedding he was responsive to random questions we had on certain topics. He also provided a comprehensive questionnaire that we reviewed together before the wedding to help us make sure all the small details that are needed in DJing and MCing the wedding were accounted for.

Overall, he went above and beyond the expectations, was incredibly flexible throughout planning and during the wedding day. I highly recommend him if he is available to DJ your wedding.

Joaquin did an amazing job at our wedding. The group of guests we had were pretty hard to get up on the dance floor but Joaquin brought the party once we found the music everyone liked (that’s on me more than on him, make sure you know your audience!). Very responsive and willing to help out with the flow of things. Would definitely recommend!

DJ Good Cat was the best DJ we ever could have hoped for! From the very beginning he was easy to communicate with, offered multiple consultations and came highly recommended. As the wedding approached, he provided multiple documents to help us prepare and provide all the necessary information for the day of. We had a prep call the week before that left me feeling extremely confident in his ability. From there he truly went above and beyond to provide the best experience possible. The ceremony was incredible and all the songs were at the perfect time. He was not only the DJ, but also the MC and kept everything right on the scheduled time, had the perfect vibe and tone, and could easily pick up andy cue or signal when needed. Once the dancing started, DJ Goodcat played all the best music to ensure a fun dance party that went late into the night! I could not have dreamed of a better or more talented DJ! Our wedding truly would not have been the same without him.
