Reviews of Ditto Landing - Kingston Pavillion

4.2 out of 5 rating
Ditto Landing's Kingston Pavillion is a wonderful location for a wedding. During our experience we had a few issues that made for lowering my overall rating, but our wedding was wonderful despite. Our problems were as follows:

1. Ditto Landing usually puts up the walls of the pavillion "in mid October". During one visit we inquired as to when the walls would be up, since it was very important for our reception. I was told within the next week. After returning two weeks later, the walls were still not up. We stated that we would be happy to help if necessary, but were told that they would be up that week. We returned the day before our wedding to pay the deposit to find that 1/2 of the walls were up, the rest were being put up the morning we setup for our reception.

2. We planned on having an outdoor ceremony with our reception inside the pavillion. Upon reviewing the number of tables and chairs needed, I was told that they could not setup both, that our guests would have to move the chairs from one location to another. During the morning of setting up our reception, I managed to talk to a maintenance person who gave us the extra chairs.

3. I was concerned about imclement weather and inquired about the 2nd side of the pavillion. The receptionist stated that if no one was using it that day we could...however upon paying the deposit she stated that we would be charged the rental fee if we did use it for our ceremony. Thank goodness we didn't need it.

Overall, our experience was well worth the wonderful view we had for our ceremony and the great space for our reception. I would just caution you on working with the receptionist. The pavillion is getting to a point where major renovations will be needed. One board was hanging off of the facia and could not be repaired because the wood was rotted underneath.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
