DCE is the in-house catering company for GBA buildings, including the Georgia Freight Depot, where we had our wedding reception. Overall our experience was very good. Despite a personnel change, the DCE staff were responsive and worked with us to put together an event that met our needs and desires. Kinisha and Tatiana were most helpful, especially towards the end! The food was delicious; our guests are still talking about it.
There were a few logistical day-of hiccups, but Kinisha refunded us for one item promptly and was flexible and helpful otherwise.
Weddings are expensive and ours was no exception here, but we were overall satisfied with the value.

Let me first say that I liked what I had. I wish I could have gotten more, but I was on a budget. My first impression of our sales rep was that she was very opinionated, and wanted to plan the event by herself. She has an answer to everything. But the chef was good, and was willing to create to our tastes. They have good prices and opinions and are open for feedback to make your event special. If you can get the catering director she was so nice and understanding. Overall the service was good, and the food was good. I would recommend them just know what you want going in.

The space is wonderful- however the staff was subpar when it comes to customer service. I had a meeting with Brittany Gunter to discuss using the GA Freight Depot as a Wedding/Ceremony Site for December 31st. Brittany was late to our appointment and it was clear that she was distracted the entire time. I understand that they are busy with events all over the downtown area- however, I am in the wedding industry and Customer Service is of the utmost importance. During our consultation, she neglected to even show us the property- we explored some of it while we waited on her to arrive. In addition to not showing us the space, she was on her phone the majority of the time, talking to other employees as if we weren't eve there and she also neglected to inform me until I was sitting face to face with her, that they REQUIRE alcohol if you want to book a Saturday wedding. When I told her that we weren't interested in having alcohol due to personal conviction as well as budget, she basically dismissed us from that point on, stating 'this wasn't the venue for us'. She also told us that this is Distinctive Catering & Events "Cash Cow" and that basically if you weren't willing to fork out $100++ a person, they weren't interested in having you as a bride. She also cut our consultation short "because she had another meeting in ten minutes". I then saw her leaving the venue more than 10 minutes later- she just decided that she was no longer interested in talking with us. Needless to say- We will never even so much as recommend this venue or this 'wedding planner'. The staff (With the exception of one lady who was very cordial) is rude and not at all concerned about customer service. Don't waste your time- There are other industrial looking places to go!
