Distinct Event Planning was amazing. I loved working with Lucretia to plan my wedding. She exceeded every expectation I ever had about how my wedding was suppose to look and feel. In the midst of starting a new job, my husband starting a new job, buying a home AND planning a wedding...I would've lost my marbles if I didn't hire Distinct Event Planning. We selected the full package that included design & decor, planning & execution. I had a vision, but Lucretia and her team brought it to life. There were times where I was stressed in other areas, but my wedding was one area that was extremely STRESS FREE from planning to the moment I left the venue. She was professional, prompt, creative, responsive, flexible and HILARIOUS. She knew just the right vendors to reach out to that fit my style, & budget~~and I received top notch service from ALL. Because I work in the event management field of a major hotel chain, I have an eye for detail, and I'll admit my standards are high, but Distinct Event Planning exceeded my expectations.

I have had Lucretia Williams plan two events for me. First my daughter's wedding and second my mother's 80th birthday party and they were both fabulous. I cannot begin to tell you all of the things Lucretia and the DEP team did to make our magical day happen. My husband and I were not ones to give up control easily but I knew from our first meeting Lucretia had my back. I live in Atlanta and was planning a wedding in Columbus, Ohio because that's where the groom is from, I didn't know vendors contract expectations and timelines...only thing we did know is we wanted this magical day for not only us but for our family and friends to share with us. Lucretia hooked us up with excellent vendors, they all from the initial meeting worked hard to get exactly what we wanted done. As the time grew closer and a million things still needing to be done, Lucretia just stepped in, she was the reminder, the mediator and the executer of all. Our wedding day was more than we could have imagined thanks to her and her team.

The day of the wedding we were able to sit back enjoy and be thankful our of our FAITH in DEP. Hiring DEP was an excellent choice.

The negotiations went very smoothly, and Lucretia was on top of every aspect of the discussion. She was able to get our agreement authorized, and our deposit to us in a timely and convenient manner. Next we had a detailed conversation with Lucretia on the theme for the event and the tentative agenda, so we knew what we needed to know to help make our role in the event fit well with all the other people and ideas involved. We received a terrific Event Timeline from Lucretia which gave us everything we needed to know to complete our preparation of our song selections and set lists for the evening. We even got from her some helpful insights into the parking and load-in idiosyncrasies of The Ivory Room in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival on the event date, we were warmly greeted by Lucretia. The flow and pacing of the event was perfect, and we ended on time. During the course of the evening we received concise and friendly updates from Lucretia as we moved from one segment to another. All in all, between the room and the fabulous view, the marvelous décor, the gorgeous floral arrangements, the personalized table menus and wine bottles, the centerpieces, linens, the decals on the chairs, the beautifully done and very appreciated gift bags at the conclusion, and especially the warmth and charm of the people with whom we enjoyed working, I don’t know how the event could have been improved. As an Entertainment Services Provider, our company does all kinds of events big and small, all over the country and we have worked with the best of the best, as certainly was the was the case in this instance. Before hiring Lucretia Williams to plan our wedding, I was overwhelmed because there were so many decisions to make, and so many wedding vendors to choose to make our day special. From the day I hired her, I received a piece of mind. I was able to enjoy the planning process more knowing that I had Lucretia to handle all of the details. As a result, I saved a lot of time and money. My friends and family were able to enjoy the wedding without acting as hosts, especially my mom. Lucretia and her team basically set everything up and all James and I had to do was show up to the wedding.
