Finding the perfect wedding dress is only one hurdle of the wedding dress process. However, finding an incredible alterations specialist who you can trust with your dress and with your vision is a whole other hurdle not many think about. Dianne single-handedly, with her professionalism, eye for detail, ingenuity, and ideally private North Salem studio, makes the process of alterations nothing short of a memorable, enjoyable experience. From the moment I brought my dress in for the first session, Dianne kept me involved in the process through every subsequent session. She would never just go ahead making an alteration and then tell me afterward. She would show me what she would do on a sample lace, how it would look, explain how it would feel, and then ask for my feedback. I felt so heard and listened to, and I couldn't be more thankful for the time and patience she has. She crafted the bustle of my dress with gorgeous lace buttons and beadwork by hand and got the length exactly where I needed it to be able to dance the night away. I loved working with Dianne and I highly recommend her for your wedding dress!

Crafting your own dress for a very important day is risky, but Dianne guides you to develop a dress you are proud of and delighted with. Dianne has a few tried and true steps to organize the process, but each step includes your opinion and direction. It was never overwhelming and I have NO experience in fashion or attire. Dianne has this way about her that encourages feedback, and if you don’t have the words or know exactly what it is thats bugging you, she helps you fill in the blanks and offers suggestions to get the dress exactly perfect. This turned into a special experience traveling up to North salem with my mom for each dress appointment. I learned alot about fabrics and seams and lace (without doing any of the work). At the end I was so proud of my dress and ourselves for crafting such a unique beauty. It really adds alot to your wedding to be in your own dress!! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed working with Dianne very much. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed a few alterations. The dress itself had flimsy hook and eye closures and were silver; therefore easily seen. Dianne put durable, black closures on the dress and it truly made a difference. Several of the other bridesmaids had issues with the back of their dresses in that they broke! In addition, the price of the alterations were extremely reasonable. I am so pleased to have worked with Dianne that I am strongly considering having my own wedding dress made by her. I highly recommend her!

Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a master at her work. The dress I had in mind to design came out exactly as I hoped it would. Her experienced eye helped me make a few changes that made the dress even more beautiful.

On the wedding day, I received many compliments as well as inquiries about where I had purchased my dress. I was delighted to say that I had a vision of what I wanted (as mother of the groom) and Dianne brought that vision to life.

My daughter and I used Dianne to tailor our dresses for her recent nuptials at Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield, CT. Dianne was a true professional and offered so many suggestions in regards to undergarments to accentuate the dress and provide comfort/support, as well as how to break in those stubborn heels! (gym socks with the shoes!!) She was so accessible and worked with my hectic work-week schedule. I had 2 fittings and everything was very timely- I never had to stress or worry! I knew I was in good hands. Dianne made my daughter look like a total princess I cried when I saw her dress in her studio. I will be using Dianne again, as she will be shortening my mother of the bride dress, so I can wear it again to a beach wedding in Costa Rica. Dianne helped make the day so special! We are very grateful for her talent and expertise.

I found Dianne through a family friend that had her dress drastically altered for her wedding. As a short girl, I was terrified to give my dress to just anyone, as the skirt and train were very delicate and full. I ordered the smallest size I could find in the dress way in advance and had Dianne fit it to my exact shape. Dianne not only altered the boning/bodice, straps, and the layers upon layers of silk and tulle, but created a custom belt and hair pins to pull the whole dress together. I totally trusted her knowledge of lace and her ability to create exactly what I had in mind to make my dress that much more special. For my first dance, she also created a bustle (that I did not even think of!) so the train would become shorter and the skirt even fuller. It was so comfortable and I danced all night! I am so glad that I worked with Dianne- she is a true creative, professional, and hard working individual! Her work space is so open and peaceful, I loved visiting. We had a total of 3 fittings and the dress was just perfect. I cannot wait to recommend Dianne to EVERYONE and I know I will be working with her again. She is so very sweet and talented. Working with Dianne on creating my dream wedding dress has been an absolute pleasure and delight. When I first started looking for a bridal gown over six months ago, I found my perfect dress located halfway around the world. I was incredibly fortunate to discover Dianne, who not only created a breathtaking custom version of the dress, but even improved upon the design through expert addition of luxury detail in beautiful materials. Best of all, I really felt like a part of the creation process. As this particular dress was made by piecing together vintage-feeling laces, Dianne generously worked with me in selecting the best possible fabrics for the different portions of the dress- such a wonderful experience to select some of the most exquisite fabrics I've ever seen to create an heirloom garment I'll keep for the rest of my life. The finished product is more beautiful than I could ever imagine, and I'm eternally grateful for everything Dianne has done in order to not only bring this dream to life, but even improve it beyond what I thought possible. In addition to her Dianne incredible professionalism and exceptional dressmaking skill (really more like a couture fitting/design process than a dress replication process, in my opinion), Dianne's humor, professionalism, and generosity has made this portion of wedding planning a fantastic experience- not only is your dress guaranteed to be a stunning work of art, but you are put completely at ease through the entire process. I cannot recommend Dianne highly enough- 10 out of 5 starts, at least!
