  Dianne is Amazing!

  Finding the perfect wedding dress is only one hurdle of the wedding dress process. However, finding an incredible alterations specialist who you can trust with your dress and with your vision is a whole other hurdle not many think about. Dianne single-handedly, with her professionalism, eye for detail, ingenuity, and ideally private North Salem studio, makes the process of alterations nothing short of a memorable, enjoyable experience. From the moment I brought my dress in for the first session, Dianne kept me involved in the process through every subsequent session. She would never just go ahead making an alteration and then tell me afterward. She would show me what she would do on a sample lace, how it would look, explain how it would feel, and then ask for my feedback. I felt so heard and listened to, and I couldn't be more thankful for the time and patience she has. She crafted the bustle of my dress with gorgeous lace buttons and beadwork by hand and got the length exactly where I needed it to be able to dance the night away. I loved working with Dianne and I highly recommend her for your wedding dress!

  Educational and Memorable

  Crafting your own dress for a very important day is risky, but Dianne guides you to develop a dress you are proud of and delighted with. Dianne has a few tried and true steps to organize the process, but each step includes your opinion and direction. It was never overwhelming and I have NO experience in fashion or attire. Dianne has this way about her that encourages feedback, and if you don’t have the words or know exactly what it is thats bugging you, she helps you fill in the blanks and offers suggestions to get the dress exactly perfect. This turned into a special experience traveling up to North salem with my mom for each dress appointment. I learned alot about fabrics and seams and lace (without doing any of the work). At the end I was so proud of my dress and ourselves for crafting such a unique beauty. It really adds alot to your wedding to be in your own dress!! Highly recommend!

  I enjoyed working with Dianne very much. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed a few alterations. The dress itself had flimsy hook and eye closures and were silver; therefore easily seen. Dianne put durable, black closures on the dress and it truly made a difference. Several of the other bridesmaids had issues with the back of their dresses in that they broke! In addition, the price of the alterations were extremely reasonable. I am so pleased to have worked with Dianne that I am strongly considering having my own wedding dress made by her. I highly recommend her!

  Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a master at her work. The dress I had in mind to design came out exactly as I hoped it would. Her experienced eye helped me make a few changes that made the dress even more beautiful.

  Dianne was sweet, accommodating, and honest when I needed an unbiased opinion. She took my dress which was too small for me and it fit me perfectly the day of my wedding. I highly recommend her and her work! She put my mind completely at ease.

  Working with Dianne was absolutely incredible. I found a vintage gown that needed a lot of work and she made my dreams for the dress a reality. She is an absolute professional, always super responsive, everything was done on time, her quote was exactly what was ultimately charged and she did the most incredible work transforming my dress into the wedding dress of my dreams. She spent a lot of time working with me to understand my vision and her creativity is second to none. I could not be happier with my dress and the entire experience. I would give Dianne a million stars if I could. Thanks again, you are truly wonderful!

  Working with Dianne on creating my dream wedding dress has been an absolute pleasure and delight. When I first started looking for a bridal gown over six months ago, I found my perfect dress located halfway around the world. I was incredibly fortunate to discover Dianne, who not only created a breathtaking custom version of the dress, but even improved upon the design through expert addition of luxury detail in beautiful materials. Best of all, I really felt like a part of the creation process. As this particular dress was made by piecing together vintage-feeling laces, Dianne generously worked with me in selecting the best possible fabrics for the different portions of the dress- such a wonderful experience to select some of the most exquisite fabrics I've ever seen to create an heirloom garment I'll keep for the rest of my life. The finished product is more beautiful than I could ever imagine, and I'm eternally grateful for everything Dianne has done in order to not only bring this dream to life, but even improve it beyond what I thought possible. In addition to her Dianne incredible professionalism and exceptional dressmaking skill (really more like a couture fitting/design process than a dress replication process, in my opinion), Dianne's humor, professionalism, and generosity has made this portion of wedding planning a fantastic experience- not only is your dress guaranteed to be a stunning work of art, but you are put completely at ease through the entire process. I cannot recommend Dianne highly enough- 10 out of 5 starts, at least!

  I can't say enough great things about Dianne and her work. I hadn't anticipated having a custom gown made as I thought it would be out of my budget. I came in to see her with some ideas for what I want, but really not set on one thing - Silk, form-fitting, with some type of rhinestone beading. I also let her know what my budget was and we discussed the details to stay within the budget.
  
  From there we both worked together on sketches coming up with the muslin gown. She was so informative through the entire process, knowing what would work, what wouldn't, how we can get it to work another way, and most importantly, what will look the best. While my silk gown was simple in my eyes, it was not a simple pattern to make. It had a more complicated back which she took the time to get just right! She also had so much knowledge on fabric and we chose an ivory silk with a subtle pink undertone that she thought would flatter my skin tone, and it's absolutely perfect. She then found some wonderful veil fabric that matched and had a subtle sparkle to it and she made a custom veil for me as well.
  
  Dianne has been wonderful to work with both professionally and personally. I'm actually sad for this process to be over because I will miss working with her on this dress, but intend to use her in the future for alterations etc.

As a short girl, I was terrified to give my dress to just anyone, as the skirt and train were very delicate and full. I ordered the smallest size I could find in the dress way in advance and had Dianne fit it to my exact shape. Dianne not only altered the boning/bodice, straps, and the layers upon layers of silk and tulle, but created a custom belt and hair pins to pull the whole dress together. I totally trusted her knowledge of lace and her ability to create exactly what I had in mind to make my dress that much more special. For my first dance, she also created a bustle (that I did not even think of!) so the train would become shorter and the skirt even fuller. It was so comfortable and I danced all night! I am so glad that I worked with Dianne- she is a true creative, professional, and hard working individual! Her work space is so open and peaceful, I loved visiting. We had a total of 3 fittings and the dress was just perfect. I cannot wait to recommend Dianne to EVERYONE and I know I will be working with her again. She is so very sweet and talented.   My daughter and I used Dianne to tailor our dresses for her recent nuptials at Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield, CT. Dianne was a true professional and offered so many suggestions in regards to undergarments to accentuate the dress and provide comfort/support, as well as how to break in those stubborn heels! (gym socks with the shoes!!) She was so accessible and worked with my hectic work-week schedule. I had 2 fittings and everything was very timely- I never had to stress or worry! I knew I was in good hands. Dianne made my daughter look like a total princess I cried when I saw her dress in her studio. I will be using Dianne again, as she will be shortening my mother of the bride dress, so I can wear it again to a beach wedding in Costa Rica. Dianne helped make the day so special! We are very grateful for her talent and expertise.

  I was looking for someone to do my wedding dress alterations and a friend of mine gave me her e-mail . She was quick to respond and we promptly set up a meeting for a consultation . I knew right away that she would do a wonderful job !
  She is very attentive and knowledgable and truly cares about making the dress fit beautifully to you . Part of my dress was sticking out on the sides and she figured out how to make it lay smoothly on my body . Her work is beautiful and timely !!! My wedding dress now fits me perfectly !!! I can't wait to wear it and share the pictures!! Dianne your the best !!! Thank you for making my wedding dress the perfect fit for me !

  Diane altered my wedding dress and it was perfect! she had so much valuable knowledge and advice on how to make my dress/train flow, adding bra cups, and adding a simple applique to my dress (since I really disliked the belt it came with).
  I had several appointments and was pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the price was in the add. Great service and beautiful work!

  Diane altered my wedding dress and it was perfect! she had so much valuable knowledge and advice on how to make my dress/train flow, adding bra cups, and adding a simple applique to my dress (since I really disliked the belt it came with).

When the time came, I was lucky enough to find the seamtress Dianne Keessee online. She magically transformed the sari into my dream dress and I could not be happier. I made just four visits to her studio--once to bring the fabric and dream up a design with her, once for a fitting in a mock gown, once for a fitting in the real thing, and finally to pick up the finished product. I have a completely unique, flattering, and comfortable (!) gown that fits me perfectly, both in size and style and I cannot wait to wear it for my garden wedding! I tried on lots of off-the rack and designer dresses before meeting with Dianne and none came close to this one! Dianne is a joy to work with, has wonderful ideas, and even gave me the guidance I needed on getting the right shoes and lingerie to match! All around a fabulous experience!

  Dianne was INCREDIBLE. She was calm, composed and insanely talented. My dress came out beautifully and she even did some custom work for us, using my mother's veil and headpiece to create a custom veil that matches my dress. She was supportive, even tempered and extremely personable. If I were doing it again, I would have her make my dress from scratch! She is truly a gem.

My dress came out beautifully and she even did some custom work for us, using my mother's veil and headpiece to create a custom veil that matches my dress. She was supportive, even tempered and extremely personable. If I were doing it again, I would have her make my dress from scratch! She is truly a gem.

  Dianne was amazing! She instantly made me feel comfortable from the second I walked into her house. I had bought a dress and it needed alterations which Dianne did perfectly – and she also added beautiful straps and a keyhole back. Dianne did such a wonderful job, gave great suggestions, and I loved the finished product – not to mention she’s just awesome to be around. My mom also came with me and wound up having the dress she bought reconstructed and it turned out beautiful. My only regret is that I didn’t find Dianne sooner or I would have had my entire dress made by her. I cannot say enough good things about this woman!

  I knew I wanted a very special wedding gown, something elegant, unique and striking. Traditional bridal shops had nothing to offer. I had a very clear vision of what I wanted so I quickly realized I would need to get it custom made. I sketched the design out (not at all what I would call a terribly sophisticated sketch though) and brought it to Dianne. We were a perfect match for each other. Immediately, we connected on this beautiful vision. She gave tips and pointers on design and fit, helped me walk through fabric choices (literally! We met in the garment district to look at many stores' offerings. She suggested ample trim options.) The fittings were a collaborative effort, anchored by her amazing attention to detail, consummate professionalism, wonderful craftsmanship honed by years of gown-making experience, and a wit that made each visit a pleasure. My finished gown was literally gasp-inducing when I walked down the aisle! It was striking. Women oohed and aahed over it. Even the men gushed over it. It was a golden, glimmery work of art. Dianne is a tremendous dressmaker. She listens, guides, adapts, and quickly becomes a friend through the entire process. I cherished it all from beginning to end.

  I found a dress online by a designer in Israel that I absolutely fell in love with but could not afford. My fiancé suggested that I try and find someone who could make the dress for me. Enter Dianne!
  
  I had my initial meeting with Dianne 8 months before my wedding. From the moment I met her I knew I was in good hands! She was so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely excited to design this dress for me. I showed her the picture of the dress and I could tell she fell in love with it as much as I had!
  
  I had about 5 meetings with her from start to finish. Along the way we came up with so many ideas to add to the dress to make it my own. She always made me feel like a bride and anything I could dream of I could have in this dress. I would tell her what I was thinking and she had the skill and knowledge to make it happen. I just had my final fitting and picked up my dress and veil and all it can say is WOW... My dress looks 10x better than the designer one I originally showed her! I wish I could post a picture to show the beautiful quality of work she did. She thought of every little detail and had such an eye to know what would look the best. To sum up my experience .... So personal and just incredible!
  
  If you are thinking about going to go to a bridal salon to get a gown where you are just another customer that will pay inflated prices for ok service and get what you get... STOP DON'T DO IT!

You will have a custom designed dress made to fit your body that is everything you could ever want and more!
