We absolutely loved our dj. He was very respectful and was easy to communicate with. When my husband and i first meet with him he very flexibility, kind, and welcoming. Throughout the process always kept in Touch us to make sure if we had any questiond or concerns. Everyone at the wedding loved him. Thank you everything. The photobootb was great our guests were able to have as many copies as they wanted.

Detour Dave was the greatest DJ I could have hoped for!! He had a great personality, kept the whole reception flowing along perfectly, and everybody up on the dance floor! His song choices were right on, and he read the crowd extremely well. Everybody had the best time and danced the night away!! He was great!!

I would highly recommend Detour Dave as a DJ for your wedding reception! He was very professional and does an excellent job of introducing and announcing special events throughout the night. We met with Dave a few months before our wedding to go over a song list and he was very open to our ideas and comments.

DJ Detour Dave was a great part of our ceremony and reception playing out as we hoped. Originally, we were contracted with a different DJ, but his life plans were taking a different shape. As such, he recommended us to the very guy who mentored him in the DJ/wedding DJ space. Dave was willing to work with us within the same confines of our contract with our previous DJ down to the costs and all details. At first, we had some trouble connecting to discuss the contract and our preferences, but we simply chalk that up to time zones and getting to know each other and needs.

Dave came to meet with us at my now husband's parent's home to walk through our ceremony and reception and timelines. He was very friendly and accepting of all of our ideas and committed to making them happen. We caught up a week ahead of the wedding to walk through final music selection, the timeline and announcements. He was very at ease about everything including requests like individual/separate songs for wedding party entrances and creating a mashup to commemorate our college years with those friends. Dave even gave us a copy of the song mash up to keep, which was such a nice gesture! He kept all announcements and activities moving with the timeline, collaborating quite well with my day of coordinator.

DO NOT HIRE this vendor!!! Detour Dave was about an hour late to my reception then arrived without the list of people to introduce. (He claimed he never received the e-mail that contained that info, so I had to tell him at the event the order and how to pronounce each person's name. Then, ten minutes later, he mysteriously "found" the e-mail.) He never ONCE apologized for being late and then blamed the entire thing on our reception site. He said that THEY gave him a different arrival time (I talked to them; they did no such thing). I would have felt better about it if he had just owned up to the mistake, but he kept trying to blame other people. I will say that once he arrived, he did a fantastic job and really got people dancing. He came highly recommended and maybe this was just an isolated incident, but I wouldn't trust him with your big day.
