It really does not get better than Destination Weddings in Portugal. Rita and her team are amazingly talented, detail oriented, empathetic, and do absolutely anything they can to make your dreams come true. Trying to coordinate a wedding from the other side of the world (Washington DC) is hard, some might call it a gamble. But I say this honestly, they put together a wedding that we would not have been able to dream up! It was something straight out of a fairytale. From the start, they are incredibly engaging and really put the time and effort into getting to know you. They consulted us on every decision, but gave us the best of the best to choose from. We chose to trust them with direction and choices, and we have no regrets. All of their recommendations were of the highest quality and taste. They were able to take the smallest expression of likes/wants and give them life. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Everything from the catering (fantastic food and even better service), to the music (we adore Tiago), to the flowers (oh my goodness the flowers!), to the line up of events, to the photographer (Lily is an artist), to hair and makeup (can't say enough about Jordan and Dorota) and more, was perfection. If you are considering having your wedding in Portugal, there is no one better to trust than this team. I don't think you'll be able to match this level of professionalism, dedication and organization. From their beautiful work, it is very apparent that they love what they do and really put their heart into creating magical moments for their customers. We are so thankful to them for memories neither us nor our guests will forget.

I had a destination wedding in Portugal and needed a local planner who could help me coordinate everything from the U.S. After hours of research on Google and Reddit, I found Oui Love You. I compared several planners at different price points—low, medium, and high—and Oui Love You stood out immediately. They responded quickly, communicated clearly, and made the entire process easy despite the six-hour time difference and language barrier.

Destination weddings don’t come with a step-by-step guide—you never really know if you’re getting scammed or what things should cost—but Oui Love You made me feel completely at ease. I was assigned Carlota as my planner, and she is now not only someone I consider a friend but an expert who deserves serious recognition for her incredible work.

As a project manager (and a self-proclaimed Type A micro-manager!), I know how hard it is to impress me—but planning with Carlota was effortless. I gave her my budget, she built a detailed spreadsheet, had me create a mood board, and only presented vendors and options that aligned perfectly with what I wanted. She was honest, transparent, and even advised me where not to spend money—something rare and invaluable.

Since I couldn’t travel to Portugal for tastings, venue visits, or vendor meetings, I had to put complete trust in Carlota—and she delivered beyond expectations. She communicated even outside of business hours and kept me informed during every lull in planning. When we finally arrived in Portugal, I was blown away by the quality, organization, and attention to detail she put into everything.

On the wedding day, Carlota was everywhere at once—keeping vendors on time, managing every detail, and somehow always appearing when I needed her (like when I needed help with my shoes!). Beyond logistics, she also mastered something few planners truly do: the flow of the day. Every moment transitioned seamlessly into the next, building excitement from start to finish. Our guests kept saying it was the best wedding they’d ever been to.

Our experience with Destination Wedding was absolutely wonderful. It wasn’t easy planning a wedding from across the world in Seattle, WA USA, and due to COVID events, everything was ever changing, but Rita made things as easy as possible! She was absolutely fantastic with communication and on top of every detail. From planning locations for our rehearsal dinner, finding us vendors, the little details to make our special day perfect, everything she did was amazing!

Villa Guia was the perfect location for our guests, everything from the setting to the food was great and our friends and family had a great time.

Nous avons choisi de confier l'organisation de notre mariage à Destination Wedding in Portugal après avoir rencontré Rita à Cascais et ce fut la meilleure décision que nous ayons prise. Tout a été merveilleusement organisé. Je recommanderai maintenant toujours à mes proches d'avoir recours à une wedding planneuse, quel confort pour les mariés ! Rita a littéralement sauvé notre mariage cet été 2021 en nous trouvant, huit jours avant le mariage (heureusement qu'on se mariait en semaine), un autre lieu que celui initialement choisi, où ne nous pouvions plus l'organiser à cause d'un renforcement des règles sanitaires liées au Covid pour les événements en intérieur. Le nouveau lieu était magique. Rita a en outre un carnet d'adresses de formidables prestataires : mention spéciale pour Lily et Sergio de Lisbon Wedding photographers qui nous ont fait des photos et une vidéo sublimes ainsi que pour la fleuriste qui a fait une magnifique décoration florale suivant nos orientations. Rita a géré les imprévus de dernière minute avec efficacité et calme, elle nous a par exemple trouvé des chauffages extérieurs et des plaids au dernier moment, car la météo était plus fraiche que prévue. Mille mercis à Rita, nous avons eu le mariage de nos rêves grâce à elle et tous nos invités ont été enchantés.

We had the most beautiful, happy day at the Senhora da Guia hotel in Cascais, Portugal. We originally intended to get married in May 2020 but obviously Covid put paid to that. Our wedding planner Rita was incredibly helpful, kind and flexible and didn't turn a hair even when the date had to keep shifting. We eventually got married on 1 September 2021 and the day was beautiful and incredibly well organised. I'm definitely not a planner so it was great to delegate most tasks to Rita who hit it out of the park every time. In addition she helped organise all the other parts, when my makeup artist pulled out with little notice she organised a replacement who did a wonderful job with about two weeks' notice.
It was a beautiful, happy and fun day and every part of it was incredibly smooth. It was definitely worth the wait and I couldn't recommend Rita and Destination Weddings in Portugal highly enough.

My husband and I had planned our wedding for April 2020 but due to Covid had to postpone and then eventually cancel :( A year earlier we had traveled to Portugal, meet with Rita and saw the venue. We were just amazed at how gorgeous the hotel is and we were really looking forward to having an amazing wedding at this great location. The tasting menu was also out of this world. We were so looking forward to the big day but due to Covid had to postpone. Rita and her team worked with us to change the wedding date over 6 times. Every step of the way Rita was there to assist and ease our concerns. In the end, unfortunately we decided to cancel as we had waited for over a yr and a half and covid was still around. The venue refunded our second big deposit and also gave us vouchers valid for 30% of our first deposit for future stay. They could very well have declined and there would be nothing we could do. All I can say is if you are planning on having a destination wedding definitely consider this venue, you will be amazed. It is right by the beach in an amazing town called Cascais. The food, venue, rooms are all excellent. Highly Recommend!
