** The dress on this page. This dress was delivered from the L.A. designer to San Diego the day before the wedding. In a panic, this bride’s friend contacted me for emergency alterations. I was able to get to her hotel in 20 minutes. All the alterations that were done on this dress the night before the wedding:

I took in most of the lace on the wedding dress at the point of seam connecting to Ponte de Roma knit fabric because it was too loose on Bride. The design of the sequined re-embroidered lace was sewn on a large netting with large and small web design. These were sent to me by the client’s friend.

  1. This was taken at the designer’s location; there was a nude-colored bridal netting that puckered under the sequined re-embroidered lace and the Ponte de Roma knit fabric was loose.
  2. This was taken at the designer’s location; shown is the puckering Ponte de Roma knit fabric at the waist to hip line.
  3. This was taken at the designer’s location; shown is the lace that needed to be taken in on the shoulder, notice the nude fabric still intact.

These are the photos that I took with my client after I pinned the dress. 95% of the repairs were done by hand stitching. The nude-colored bridal netting was cut out and removed to reveal skin. When this was done the sequined re-embroidered lace did not have the support and when the bride put the dress on the lace ripped in various obvious places all over the dress. Also noted this dress was not a true white fabric as she thought it would be.
