Benjamin and his team were incredible to work with for our engagement/wedding- they are so talented and kind, and our preview photos blew my mind I can’t wait to see the rest! He was efficient with getting shots so we could keep moving throughout the day. You can see him thinking in photographs, and he notices small things, so I knew he would get the details I wanted to include. Benjamin was always so positive and relaxed, which with how much time you spend with your photographer was great!

We also used the Fauxtobooth, and I was a little nervous people wouldn’t use it but man was I wrong. Everyone had a great time, the pictures ended up being incredible and being able to look at those a couple days after the wedding was so fun! Taylor kept the energy up and made everyone feel comfortable being silly while also taking note of small interactions that turned into beautiful pictures all of our guests love

Derk’s Works takes the most incredible photos and both of the photographers were so friendly that it was like they were guests by the end of the night. They did a great job with the kids and the faux booth is worth every penny and then some! We had the time of our life and the photos show the best side of the whole day!

Ben made our wedding day so much more special with his purposeful breaks of reflection. He created a space where we felt comfortable and happy. We are so grateful to have had Benjamin photograph our wedding! Our photos turned out beautifully and family has been raving over them. He captures the expression and emotions held in the moments. I always believed the photos were one of the most important parts of any wedding, as its what you will have to turn back on and remember the day years down the road. Everytime I flip though these photos, it puts me right back to our wedding day!

We loved working with Benjamin as well! He was so professional from the moment we first met with him to the day of the wedding. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, giving us things to think about in the moment to capture our love and commitment to each other. And he genuinely cared about us looking our best! He helped my husband with his bow tie, fix the boutineers, adjust jewelry, etc. It didnt feel as though we were working with a professional photographer, but rather a family member with super awesome professional photographer skills and abilities!

Benjamin was also super flexible to work with. With planning a wedding in the middle of the pandemic, we didnt know if we would be postponing, cancelling, or going through with the wedding day. We ended up keeping our original wedding date, but relocated to the other side of the country... and Benjamin didnt hesitate! He drove out to the east coast to be there!

I had no idea where to begin when it came to wedding planning and finding all the different vendors needed to put together the BIG day. A friend recommended me to Derk's Works, as they had used them in the past and were also close friends with the owners. She always raved about Benjamin's work and how she wish he had been able to photograph her wedding. When my mom looked through their website, she knew we had to have Benjamin to capture the celebration of my wedding. I had no idea what to expect when it came to having a photographer around just photographing all the moments of the day. Benjamin was great - he helped coach my camera-shyness/awkwardness throughout the day, he was anywhere and everywhere...but never in the way, he even helped the groomsmen affix their boutonnieres. Though we might have been feeling awkward at times trying to make our expressions look natural for different shots, Benjamin urged us to not worry about the cameras or anyone around us, but to live in our moment together. I don't know how many people came up to us after the wedding and still today continue to speak so highly of Benjamin during the wedding - his energy and work was noticed by all. I cannot wait to see the rest of the perfect pictures!

Benjamin is an incredible photographer. Not only that, but when we could not find a photographer in Pittsburgh we liked, he came all the way from Columbus to shoot our wedding!!! My brother used Benjamin for his wedding and we were in love with his photographs. We were so excited that he agreed to come to Pittsburgh when we reached out to him. Not only does he have an amazing eye, but what stands out the most is his great personality. He is so easy going and great with kids. We are so thankful that Benjamin took time away from his own family to capture our family's most important moments thus far. We got our photographs back quickly and even this morning we went through the photo books to admire them.
