Benjamin and his team were incredible to work with for our engagement/wedding- they are so talented and kind, and our preview photos blew my mind I can’t wait to see the rest! He was efficient with getting shots so we could keep moving throughout the day. You can see him thinking in photographs, and he notices small things, so I knew he would get the details I wanted to include. Benjamin was always so positive and relaxed, which with how much time you spend with your photographer was great!
We also used the Fauxtobooth, and I was a little nervous people wouldn’t use it but man was I wrong. Everyone had a great time, the pictures ended up being incredible and being able to look at those a couple days after the wedding was so fun! Taylor kept the energy up and made everyone feel comfortable being silly while also taking note of small interactions that turned into beautiful pictures all of our guests love -

Derk’s Works takes the most incredible photos and both of the photographers were so friendly that it was like they were guests by the end of the night. They did a great job with the kids and the faux booth is worth every penny and then some! We had the time of our life and the photos show the best side of the whole day! -

By far the kindest, most responsive, supportive and professional team! Ben and Jennifer are just incredible. The photos were absolutely stunning, exactly what we imagined, and reflective of us as a couple. The Fauxtobooth was the best $ we spent on our wedding:our guests had such a blast and the photos are priceless. Ben's candids captured the spirit of the day perfectly! Not to mention through COVID they were so accommodating and understanding of our unique circumstances. We love them and know we found friends! Pick Derk's for your Wedding! -

From the very first time I met him, he made certain that he had a clear vision of exactly what I wanted. He was always honest and just so much fun to be around. He made my husband and I feel relaxed the entire day. We had a phone call before the wedding (he also did our engagement photos, which I totally recommend) where he made certain that he had all of the details to be able to capture our day as best as possible. The day of, we had so many compliments on his fun personality, and I loved that I never had to worry one bit as to whether the photos I wanted were being taken of not. He got everything. I can't even tell you how in love we are with the final images. They are incredible, and we have gotten so many compliments on them. I wanted something different from the typical portrait look of photos-- I wanted artistry and a focus on architecture and the beauty of the city in which we live. We got all of that and more. We have had so many people ask about our photographer, and I am never hesitant to recommend Benjamin to anyone and everyone! This was definitely our best wedding decision! -

He meshed well with everyone and even got my dad to smile in pictures. He really captured our wedding day. The quality of his work is well worth the money. We will cherish these pictures and the memories associated with them forever.

Justine Sent on 10/24/2014We had what we like to call the "dream team" of vendors. Everyone was absolutely amazing and made our wedding day fantastic. Benjamin Derkin, however, was the cream of the crop. He was the absolute best decision that we made and by far our favorite of all of our vendors. He is personable, friendly, professional, and, above all, incredibly talented. He did our engagement pictures, which are the best engagement pictures I have ever seen. Then, he was with us throughout our entire wedding day and really became more of a friend taking some pictures than anything. Not only was he great with us, but our guests absolutely loved him. I can't count how many of them came up to us both on the day and afterwards to rave about how great our photographer was. Especially given for the excellent price for such a talented photographer, you would be INSANE not to hire Benjamin. -

Not only are his photographs breathtaking, but his personality and professionalism top it off to make Derk's Works-hands down- the best choice for a wedding photographer. Several guests commented to us about how great he was to them. To us, he gave us an amazing experience. With all of the craziness on our wedding day, he took us aside and gave us twenty minutes to just enjoy each other, which was one of our favorite parts of the day. You won't be disappointed. It was the best decision we made regarding our wedding.
