I have to say that this is a mixed review for me. Initially the two event coordinators, Amy M. and Jeanie B. that I worked with were amazing. They paid attention to every detail that I told them, and were so flexible about letting me bring in decorations that were already put together and just needed to be set up at the reception for our wedding. I got several Emails from Amy confirming the details, and Jeanie was great to set up a meeting for my fiance' and I to do a tasting a meet with the chef. Their gluten free option was amazing, and the presentation of the food looked wonderful. My fiance and I were so excited for our event. Where I become torn is the lack of attention paid to the details the day of our wedding reception. I really wish that one of the ladies, Amy or Jeanie, could have been at our event to oversee what was going on and make sure that those little details were covered. The moment I stepped into our reception room I saw all the things that had not been set up correctly. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the guy who had been put in charge of our event that night (due to neither ladies being able to be there) had not chosen the correct sash color for our chair covers. It was a light seafoam green organza sash, not the silk willow green that I had personally picked out with one of the other event coordinators months before the wedding. The chair covers were white instead of cream, so they didn't match the table covers. The seafoam green made our fall wedding with chocolate brown, cream and moss green look like a light spring reception. When we got to our sweetheart table, there were things just thrown on our table, that apparently the didn't know what to do with so they just left them out on our table, including our cake topper. We had to have one of our guests put the cake topper on our cake for us halfway through dinner. Later, we found out that the hundred of appetizers that we paid for didn't come out, only some of them. So, our guests were left without food during the appetizer mix and mingle that was supposed to happen before we arrived for dinner. No one ever turned down the lighting, we had to ask for it to be turned down. Coffee and tea was part of the dinner package, but again, no one brought it out and guests had to ask us about it before we realized it wasn't being served. Again, I totally appreciated Amy and Jeanie's efforts to make sure things were taken care of and for letting me bring in my own decor. My main disappointment comes from the lack of attention paid to the details when it came time to putting together the reception room. The Davis Conference Center is a beautiful venue with high cieling ballrooms and plenty of room for a large event. I just don't know that I would trust sending another bride over knowing that the details can be the most important part for a bride, and if they aren't paid attention to, can make or break an event. Jeanie and Amy were great to make sure our guests staying at the Hilton adjacent to the conference center were taken care of, and again, I just wish someone who had actually been a part of the event planning procedures had been there to make sure those small details were correct.
