We have only finished our engagement photo shoot with David, but we absolutely love him. We couldn't be happier with our photos.

David was great! He captured so many beautiful moments during our big day. So many of our guests came up to us and said how much they loved David as well. He was early, professional and gave us great direction so we could get the pictures of our dreams!

David is the best!!! He's such a great person and so nice to work with. I was a wedding facility coordinator at a local venue for a while and enjoyed working with him on an event so much, I saved his contact information and website link for years, just in case I ever got married. When I got engaged and contracted with him, I had lots of questions and he was very prompt in his email responses. His wealth of knowledge on timing and general event logistics was so helpful. My venue was changed 3 weeks prior to the event and he was totally flexible. He was very professional and game for last minute changes. We have amazing photos from the event that I can't wait to share with friends and family. My guests also had a great time socializing with him. It was as if he was just another guest at our party. I know for a fact that he stayed longer than our contracted time frame, which was much appreciated. I couldn't imagine using anyone else for a special event. The way he captured our event is the perfect compliment to our perfect day.

David Newkirk was, hands down, the best choice we made for our wedding. We used him for our engagements and wedding photos at a ski resort in Park City, Utah. Since the day of our wedding we have had so many people tell us how they enjoyed talking to him - and above and beyond that - the photos are AMAZING. Seriously better than I could have ever imagined. I can't say enough about the quality of his work and his great personality. What more could you ask for?

David is fantastic. He is incredibly talented and professional. He is super flexible, friendly, and fit in with our wedding celebration as if he was a guest (truly he was, he is such a great guy)! Everyone loved him, most of all us (bride and groom). He also didn't nickle and dime us - was very flexible with our wedding schedule when we went over time.... he is worth every cent you'll pay him.

We also didn't have a wedding planner and he helped us keep things flowing, which was great!

However, the proof is in the pudding. We were left with STUNNING images. He is so creative, took us on little walks to find some great places to shoot, and overall was fabulous. Fun to be around, wonderful artist.

My fiance and I booked David after reviewing his work on on wedding wire for our engagement shoot on the slopes in Utah. He was on the job at a wedding in Florida when I first inquired but Dave responded right away, gave us other examples of his past experience and just overall made us feel like we were the only clients he cared about. He as a great work ethic and the quality of his work speaks for itself. He is the talent + passion + professional that you can put your complete trust in. The day of our shoot, it became clear that he doesn't just show up with a camera but was ready with wardrobe ideas, very specific locations picked out and story of our relationship played out in his head. All those elements come together, Dave does his magic and out comes some remarkable photos that capture so much more than what you ever imagined. Just amazing! One more thing, although he does these shoots for a living, it felt like he was just as excited to get home and review the photos and see how great they turned out. So inspiring to see that kind of character - getting excited and falling in love all over again with the thing you love everyday. I only hope to have that same spirit in me when it comes to my future marriage!

I am the type of person who knew, even before I was planning a wedding, that photography was going to be one of my top priorities. My now-husband and I wanted to find a photographer who could do more than take the wedding pictures we all want and love—we also needed someone who could capture the emotion of the day, who could take candid shots of tiny moments so they could be remembered and treasured.


We received glowing reviews of David Newkirk from two good friends who were married the month we got engaged. Once we looked through their engagement and wedding day images, it was clear to us that we had to meet with Dave. I immediately sent him an email and within days we were lining him up. (In fact, it’s funny—and telling—to note that we didn’t have an official wedding day picked out at that time. After we decided on two potential days, we made our final decision based on Dave’s schedule—that’s how much we wanted to work with him.)


I could go on and on about how much of a dream Dave was to work with, but I’ll try to keep it short. Let’s just say he blew me away the night of our engagements—he treated that session with so much professionalism, such enthusiasm, that my fiancé and I kept looking at each other like we won the lottery. I remember mouthing, “I LOVE HIM!” over and over. Dave made us so comfortable, had boundless energy, and was dedicated to capturing amazing images. On our wedding day, I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to open my hotel room door and find Dave ready to go. He made me feel beautiful, made me laugh, and took pictures I never could have imagined and now cannot live without. He was one of the best decisions we made. We love you, Dave!

There are lots of photographers out there but no one as brilliantly talented and devoted as Dave. Best part of our wedding process hands down.

Oh where do I start?! Hiring David as my wedding photographer was the single best decision I made with respect to my wedding! They don't get any better than this! I found David over a year before I got married while browsing on a wedding blog website when my brother was getting married. I liked his work so much I bookmarked his site "just in case" I got engaged later on. When I did get engaged, David was the first vendor I called to book. And I would have changed my wedding date if he was unavailable because he is JUST THAT GOOD! As I understand it, he was in fashion photography before he got into doing weddings. My favorite part about Dave's work is that the lighting is just surreal and amazing, and best of all, he makes all of the people in his pictures look their best.

I'm not the thinnest bride, and of course I am my own worst critic. But I was afraid I wouldn't like any pictures of my wedding because I just don't generally like pictures of myself very often. I was so excited to find that I had trouble choosing which pictures to print from our engagements and bridals because I love so many of them! David is great to work with, takes amazing pictures and will bring out your best self. He gives you the disc of all of your pictures so you can print whatever you want, and it's included in his one flat price. He could definitely charge a higher price with the quality you get. He was the best decision I made hands down. You can't go wrong--and don't need to look anywhere else! I can't recommend him enough! :)
