D & D is a family owned and operated catering company. They were one of three catering companies contracted to work with weddings at the Sayen House and Gardens. If you read nothing further, know that they are simply, the best.

Debbie was super responsive to emails. Any questions, she had the answers. She and Don have been doing this for years and are pros. Though the administrators at the Sayen House were lovely, I actually learned more about my wedding and how things would go down day of from Debbie and Don.

Additionally, their food is delicious, and they have a large variety or offerings. And their prices are extremely reasonable for the delicious food and impeccably attentive service.

In addition to the food, they set all the decorations and centerpieces up for you too. They also have fabulous staff who work with them day/night of.

We had a reception for 80 at the Sayen House and Debbie and Don did a fantastic job. Preparation and planning were a breeze and they exceeded our expectations the day of the wedding. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service beyond compare. We recommend them highly and would use their services in the future with pleasure!

With our venue (Sayen Gardens) we had 3 vendors to choose from and we met with all of them before making our decision. I cannot say enough nice things about D&D catering. We organized everything through Debbie. They obviously do a lot of catering because they have it down to a science. The food tasting was fantastic and you felt well taken care of.
They made wonderful suggestions based on what you told them about your guest list and never pushed you one way or another. They have different menu options for all price points and are VERY accommodating with any special requests (for instance, I had a specific salad in mind that they made so well that I received many unsolicited compliments on it).

Most of the communication was handled via email which made everything easy and clear (it was great to be able to refer back to emails). On the rare occasion that I wanted to speak with Debbie I had her cell number and was able to contact her easily. The week before the party you are made to feel like a real priority.

The day of the party, we arrived an hour early to look everything over. The table settings were exactly as we specified. The staff looked nice, was very professional, and even better, were very friendly. You could tell that they were there to make your day as good as they possibly could. They are all definitely in the right industry.
The food was absolutely delicious. Don (the other D in D&D) does all of the cooking and you could tell he truly cares about what he does. I think choices in food are very specific to what people like, so I won't review anything specifically, but we had passed trays, stationary appetizers, carving stations, pastas, salads, veggies and potatoes and everything was fantastic.
I really can't say enough nice things about D&D, however, wedding wire has a character limitation and I've reached it. I highly recommend D&D.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Debbie & Don. They were phenomenal. From doing a special Thanksgiving menu for me, to making sure all of our tables were set up the way we wanted, to helping out with decorating- they were there every step of the way! I have heard nothing but rave reviews from my guests on the food. They even made a special recipe for me they had never done before and it was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend them - especially if your wedding is at Sayen House - and I will use them for any future catering i need.

They were especially accommodating considering the intense heat. They were more than happy to go above and beyond to make everyone as comfortable as possible (including the bride and groom).

Very professional yet relaxed. We're a relaxed group of people. The food was great. Service was great. Everything was handled via email. They arrived early and worked with us on setting up our reception. We always come with events to our events. The venue housed a bat, my pregnant sister n law had a seizure and vomited (good thing we're a crew of medical professionals) with all this Debbie and her crew never missed a beat and were on hand to help. I highly recommend them.

D & D Catering made our wedding planning easy. Don guided us through the preparation process in a thorough and timely manner, and no question was ever considered to be a bother. On the day of our wedding, D & D helped everything run more smoothly than we ever thought it could. I could not believe how beautiful everything looked when I walked in to the reception space to sneak a peek before all the guests would see it. D & D completely surpassed my expectations.

Our wedding was on 4/13/13 at the Mercer County Boathouse and Marina.

From the menu, to the setup of the outside pavillion for my ceremony, reception table setup (purple napkins and lighting to match my bridesmaid's dress), the cake, the food and all the other little things that only the bride might notice ( and I did) were done. I got to enjoy my Wedding Day and to spend time with my guests on that special day.

Don and his staff (his Mother was there and she was so helpful with getting the ceremony started on time, getting the flowers to the bridal party and just making the event "worry-free" for me!) were fantastic.

Highly reccommended, very flexible, able to work with the bride to get what she wants. Beautiful site, on a well kept property over looking a lake. Delicious food, courtious staff. My wedding ceremony and reception we had planned to be outside. The day ended up being very windy and a bit chilly. They tried their hardest to make it work outside for the reception, my husband was trying to help them, but it wasnt happening. Luckily, they were able to move everyithng inside the boathouse and save the day, my guests never would've know it was supposed to be outside. Again, highly reccommended!

The company did everything I asked, they were very flexible to what I was looking for. Beautiful venue, wonderful cake, and great food.
