I had a very specific ring in mind and they were able to create it better than I could’ve imagined! They were so communicative and knowledgeable. They also gave me a better price for a more custom piece than anyone around!

They don’t use any pushy sales tactics and were extremely transparent.

When looking for a place to make an engagement ring I checked out over a dozen places near the Provo/Orem area and even some out of state jewelers—it doesn’t get better than Custom Ring Designers. For both quality and cost Dave has the connections to make whatever you want happen. From start to finish working with Dave and Josie was a very enjoyable process. Their experience made making decisions as easy as possible and the end result was well worth the wait. 10/10 would recommend whether you are looking for a very simple ring or something that is totally one of a kind.

We bought both our wedding rings from Custom Ring Design and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

One of the biggest complaints I've heard about these guys is that it takes longer than often promised to get the product. Ours was not a typical short courtship and quick engagement, so Renee had plenty of time to get my ring done and we're completely happy with it.
After finding a picture online of what I liked and taking that to several stores and having them tell me it was impossible or it would be uncomfortable, we took it in to Renee. He quickly assessed what would need to be done in order to make it a viable option and took the time to explain the process thoroughly.
We came in to try the wax mold and rather than trying to sell us stones at the top of our price point, he first showed us a fake diamond and worked his way up till we found the size stone we wanted.
Once it was done and my fiance actually proposed, it was a little too tight, so I stopped by the store unannounced to drop it off, intending to pick it up in a few days. He remembered us and that we were from Salt Lake and said he could re-size it right then even though they were closing soon.

When we found the design we wanted for my fiance's ring, we sent him a picture and a link to the website and, rather than trying to talk us out of it or sell us something else, he said we should go with the company we found it through because he couldn't do what we wanted at a lower price.

The only reason I didn't give him a perfect 5 is that we paid for an enhanced diamond and there is one visible inclusion in the stone which, in my understanding, should have been removed. It hasn't bothered me too much and I may talk to him about it when I take it in to be cleaned, buffed, and re-dipped just before the wedding.

I get compliments on my very unique and personalized ring all the time and would happily refer friends to Renee in the future. I would probably caution that they not work on a tight timeline, however.

They were fantastic. We spent a lot of time in there trying to make everything perfect, and they were very helpful and patient! We were very pleased with their work and we love that we get to have a free cleaning and dipping twice a year! They were great!

Dave is great. We got my dream ring for a fraction of the cost it would have cost at some other jeweler. The are so willing to do everything they can to accommodate you. Nice nice people, friendly, I felt like I was important to them and not like I was just another random person off the street. The ring did take about 5 days longer than they said it would, which was super stressful because we were taking our engagements the day we got it. So that wasn't great, but it was understandable because of the way mail works.

I like the smaller local shops over the big name brand chains, but Custom just not as good as some of the other local places I found that were more flexible and informative, like Dukes and Hur Jewelers.
