We were happy with Cucina Rustica as our rehearsal luncheon venue. The decor and ambiance was beautiful. I was happy with the food (Lisa Dahl has created 3 restaurants in the Sedona area which elevates the food scene there) which we picked from a prix fixe menu. The service was great. Belynde was responsive and professional during the planning process. We were able to have our event in their main garden room which has a beautiful starry dome as a ceiling and a fountain in the middle of the room. They have smaller rooms that are beautifully decorated to fit smaller groups as well.

This is an amazing place for a wedding reception. The ambiance is perfect. The food is exceptional. The wait service was outstanding -- European-style service rarely experienced these days. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. I can't say enough about this establishment!!

I love this restaurant! Beautiful space and great food and drink. During the planning process, it was a little slow, but it seemed like all our requests were going to be dealt with. Apparently, my Man of Honor had to deal with some minor issues the day of the wedding (the banquet manager I had been communicating with was sadly in the hospital).... but things were worked out in the end and the room was set up as I was expecting. The service during the dinner was amazing! We had the pastry chef do a cheesecake for us and people are still raving - delicious!!!! Our group became a little more lively than I had anticipated but the restaurant seemed to roll with it, thankfully. Everyone truly had a memorable night! We met the owner at the end of the evening and she was truly gracious - it was a perfect venue for us.

I requested quote beginning of September for a wedding reception at the end of October. I received 1 return phone call from Lisa Dahl the next day saying she'd call me back. 2 days later I phoned her again as I hadn't heard from her. She was extremely scattered & seemed to be talking out loud to herself to see how they could cater my wedding which is on a Saturday (they couldn't take people off the floor, etc)

1 more week went by & no quote from Lisa. Restaurant gave me her cell # which I called 2 different times with no response. I finally called the restaurant & spoke to Belynde. She stated that Lisa was responsible for catering & was extremely busy.

1 more week went by & no quote. I called Belynda, AGAIN, & sent her an email on 9/14 with our intent to contract with them & to forward contract so we could finalize. I received a reply from Belynde on Saturday 9/15 stating " I received your email. That is all fine. I will send you a synopsis of everything on Monday afternoon. I will also send you a contract. Thanks much & everything will be lovely. Lisa is excellent at catering weddings, etc"


Wed, 9/19- no contract! I called AGAIN on Wednesday & informed Belynde how disappointed I was with this entire process. She apologized but, again, stated how busy Lisa is. I told her if I didn't have a contract by 10AM Thur, I'd find a different caterer. She emailed a contract that night.


Thurs AM, 9/20-I received an email from Belynde stating Lisa siad they couldn't provide rentals they agreed to since they need them in the restaurant that night. Then I received an EMAIL from GM informing me "after careful thought & consideration, it is our opinion that we cannot go forward with your wedding on October 27 due to various commitments at the restaurants." Not even the professional courtesy of a phone call.


They simply shouldn't advertise that they can cater events as Lisa is simply too busy.
