Crowne Plaza Indianapolis-Dwtn-Union Stn provides a historic wedding venue in the heart of Indianapolis. Once used as a railroad stop, the building provides a romantic location for weddings and hotel guests.
Facilities and Capacity
The Romanesque Revival style stands out among the modern city. It’s grand hall provides a stunning reception space with soaring barreled ceilings and a decorative stained glass window. The grand hall is able to accommodate up to 600 guests for your reception. The Illinois Street ballroom offers a neutral pallet and city views for smaller ceremonies and events.

The event coordinator will provide complimentary items to each couple. Along with the use of the facility, you’ll receive champagne toasts, overnight accommodations and complementary centerpieces. Each table on site comes with linens, chairs and china for your convenience. Their additional event services include:

History
Built in 1888, the station now sits on the National Register of Historic Places. It once held the title of America’s first union station. At one point, the building had five railroad tracks running though it’s facility. The tracks moved train cars, which held passengers like Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Edison.

From the decor set up, to the food prep, to the logistics of the day, every person involved played their part well and contributed to a beautiful executed wedding day.
