The castle is primarily a bed and breakfast run by a really lovely couple. They were incredibly communicative, kind, and just generally fun to be around. We rented the entire Castle the Friday before the wedding, too, so the wedding party stayed at the castle for 2 days and 2 nights. The breakfast they served was amazing, the rooms and location are beautiful, and they offer a lot of options to make the wedding as easy as possible (such as officiant services, costume rental, free tables and chair use, an optional cleanup fee to have them do the cleanup, serviceware rental, tablecloth rental, optional alcohol license fee), and they are very upfront and fair about pricing. We had such a great experience with this venue and the couple that run it, and it was surprisingly affordable (I honestly think they should charge a bit more than they currently do!). We used their officiant services, tablecloth rentals, alcohol license, and rented the entire Castle out for an additional day. The additional day added 1.1k to our total. Sun-Fri weddings are $50/hr. You could have a very, very affordable wedding here, and the venue is already so beautiful you could get away with very little additional decor, too.

My grandson and his wife planned a gothic-ish theme and this was perfect! The owners were marvelous! The wedding party stayed the night as they booked the entire castle! Thank you Clayshire Castle!

Great owners. We stayed here for a weekend getaway. It is in the middle of nowhere but it's worth it. Rooms were amazing. We had the wine cellar room.

I HAD MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING IN JUNE OF 2016 AT CLAYSHIRE CASTLE AND EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I WANT TO THANK YOU AGAIN EVEN 6 MONTHS LATER WE ARE STILL RECOMMENDING YOU TO EVERYONE WHO IS WANTING TO GET MARRIED. HER WEDDING WAS OUTSIDE WITH THE RECEPTION INSIDE AND IT WAS PERFECT. STILL PULLING OUT PICTURES TO SHOW. ALSO MY FAMILY RENTED ALL THE ROOMS AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AFTER THE WEDDING RELAXING BACK BY THE HOT TUB. AND THE BREAKFAST WAS WONDERFUL. THANK YOU AGAIN SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU DID FOR US WHILE PLANNING AND EVEN AFTER THE WEDDING. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYPLACE OR ANYONE BETTER TO DEAL WITH. THANK YOU

For those brides looking for the fairy tale wedding look no further. Clayshire Castle will meet all your needs and expectations. There was nothing that was too much for this family business to assist with. From the multiple visits prior to the wedding to make sure all the details were correct, to an all day load in on Friday, through a very late night Saturday, and then departure of all on Sunday. Innkeepers were wonderful to work with, the food and refreshments provided were excellent (particularly the brownies) and very welcome.
Thank you all for making my job as a planner and decorator so enjoyable.
