About

Classic Catering is an off premise catering company servicing the entire Twin Cities area. Founded back in 1985, we have grown from a small 900sq foot deli to our current 5,000sq foot facility.

In 1998 we added our picnic division The Picnic Pleasers. In the fall we will open our first venue Grand Palms Event Center located in Chaska, MN. We are still owned and operated by the original owner.

We contribute our success to a number of things which include great food, personal service, reasonable prices and a great team of professionals with years of food service experience.

Excellent Caterer

Classic Catering did a great job catering our 100-person, buffet-style wedding reception at Hyland Hills. We initially checked them out because they had a nice variety of food on the menu and offered lots of extras at no additional cost, such as linens and dinner plates. The tasting was also free—a huge bonus. The food we chose for the wedding (pot roast, baked ham, roasted potatoes, seasonal veggies, corn, pasta salad, Caesar salad, pies for dessert) was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other caterers, especially with all the extras. We got several compliments from guests on the food. I highly recommend Classic to anyone planning a wedding!

Amazing to work with and awesome food!

Classic Catering was absolutely wonderful to work with! We had them for our wedding at Little Log House. Dana was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and was so patient with all of my questions. We had some appetizers during social hour, plus the pasta bar buffet for dinner and everything was delicious. We had a lot of compliments from the guests on how good everything was! The catering staff were all really nice and did a great job during the wedding. I highly recommend using Classic Catering for any type of event, but especially for a wedding!

Would Recommend For All Events

We had Classic Catering for our wedding at The 3 Ten Event Venue. The Taco/Fajita buffet that we had was absolutely fantastic. It was a hit with our guests. Not only were the food options incredible, but the service was equally great -- Very attentive and polite.

Dana was very responsive and accommodating leading up to our wedding day. We will only speak highly of Classic, and would recommend for any sort of event.

Delicious food, wonderful service, unbeatable pricing!

Dana and the catering staff were amazing to work with! We had a buffet, and the food was delicious - we received many compliments. Plus, we were able to keep the leftovers and are still enjoying them. :) The bar and food prices are incredibly reasonable - I highly recommend them! Also, Classic cut the cake for us as we needed and were a great help overall. :)

Affordable and Tasty!

I booked Classic Catering for so many reasons. They don't have ridiculous fees for things (china, utensils, linens, etc.) They have NO cake cutting fee. They let you keep your leftovers. Their food is good and there are a lot of menu options. They offer bar services. They offer free use of some decor items like volatiles. And the staff is responsive and professional. It doesn't get better than that.

Wedding Buffet

Classic Catering was the perfect service to cater our wedding day! Dana was absolutely fantastic to work with she was organized, on-time, and had every answer to questions that we asked. She helped guide us through the process of choosing specific entrees, place settings, additional options, beer and wine selections and much more. They were very professional and valued our time whenever we had a meeting together. The food was excellent and the staff on the day of our wedding were so kind, respectful and enjoyable to work with. This is by far the best catering company in the Twin Cities area and I suggest to anyone to use this company for any future special event!

Classic catering was excellent. We had a buffet and bar service at our reception. Very professional, timely and everyone said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Highly recommend, they were great!

Classic Catering was awesome! Not only were they the most cost effective, they were by far the best tasting food we tested.
All of our guests were ranting and raving about how good our food was! By far the best decision we made with the whole wedding planning!

We had such a great time at our wedding! Classic Catering took care of everything! We met with Dana who is so awesome at getting back to us with every question we had before the big day! The food was awesome!! The service was so great! The late night staff were the best and helping us take down everything! I would hire Classic Catering again for the future!
