About
I grew up North of Boston, Massachusetts, where I lived until the age of twenty. Shortly thereafter, I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served over 9 years as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer as most recently depicted in the movie "The Guardian". During that time I discovered my passion for photography and took the opportunity to study it at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
I have now settled in South Jersey at the age of thirty, where I have decided to open my wedding and portraiture business: Christopher Photography. Ideally, I would like to shoot no more that twenty to twenty-five weddings per year. I feel in doing this, it will allow me to give each couple the attention they deserve for their special occasion and throughout the entire process of creating their wedding album. I want every couple to feel as though they are my only customer.
As far as my portraiture is concerned, I really think I operate a lot differently than most photographers. I believe that in order to create something that is truly moving, or meaningful there is a process involved. That process, for me, is to meet with my subject, get to know them a bit, explore the environment in which they would like to be photographed and finally, set my imagination free to create an image that will speak to the uniqueness of their occasion.
The images I create are a representation of who I am, not only as an artist, but as a person as well. It is my mission for every wedding album and every portrait to be more exceptional than the last. This quest enables me to feel as though I have given all I have to those who have entrusted Christopher Photography to capture their moment.
