I first read about Chirps & Cheers via the Brides of Oklahoma Wedding Blog. I wasn’t exactly sure what kind of invitation design I would want, but was hoping to find some sort of environmentally friendly invitations. What I had read about Chirps & Cheers was that they carried a line of invites called Wiley Valentine that I was anxious to check out. The owner, Susan Kropp, was immediately attentive and helpful as we began looking over the many books of invitations. If you have not checked out invites yet, it can be an overwhelming process as there are SO MANY to choose from. Susan gave us time to look but checked in often. I found many that I was impressed with, but when it came down to time to mark a few favorites the Wiley Valentine line stuck out for creative designs, eco-friendliness, and cost. I looked at three other stores, but none of them impressed me as much as Chirps and Cheers. C&C is a small, bright, fun store with lots to look at. Susan did not throw all her invite books at me (as some stores wanted to do) nor leave me to try to find something alone, but carefully selected several that she thought would meet my needs, let me look, and checked in to see how I was doing. I should mention that I did not have an appointment and still received this friendly and cheerful service! After visiting several other places, I brought my fiancé to the store to show him my favorite invitation picks. Again, Susan was accommodating and genuinely interested in us as people. We went with one of the first invites I had fallen in love with and were able to pick colors that just matched our wedding colors. Wiley Valentine sent us a proof within a few days and our invitations came in less than 2 weeks later. Susan was a gem and met me to give me my invites because a blizzard was coming and she wanted to make sure I got them before the snow hit. I later went to her to find a guest book after looking a few other places and she helped me come up with a creative and budget friendly idea. I purchased a cute pink binder and she cut some thicker unlined paper to fit. We had our guests use colored pencils and they could sign traditionally or write notes or draw pictures for us. Very fun! One small note is that C&C occasionally changes their hours based on travel, etc., but always posts the changes on their Facebook page. So if you are a bride hoping to check out invites, I do suggest an appointment or at least checking in to make sure they will be open before you go. To sum it up, I will continue to go to Chirps & Cheers if need any kind of card or paper product not only because of the fun items they have but because I know I will find friendly and creative assistance with anything I might need.
