Cindy was wonderful to work with for our wedding! The food was amazing, all of our guests raved about it. The parmesan chicken is to die for. Staff working the night of our event were courteous and kind. Thank you, Cindy!!!

Had an amazing time in this beautiful landmark of Peoria! The staff was professional and helpful all the time.

Going into planning our caterer for our wedding, we didn't have very high expectations. We knew from attending other events that food does not transport well and that people usually don't like plated, catered meals. HOWEVER, Childers exceeded our expectations! We had several guest comment on how good both the chicken and beef option we're (parmesan chicken and grilled sirloin). We would absolutely recommend Childers to anyone for their own wedding.

My grandma said it was the best wedding food she's ever had! She's still talking about it months later. We did a theme buffet -- Caribbean - and the food was better the day of than when we tasted it! They even had a large portion of the vegetarian dish for no cost since we had a few herbivores at our wedding. We also used their bar service and the only issue was they ran out of bottled beer near the end of the night. The price included the linens, table settings, tea, coffee, and water at no extra cost! Way better than doing it yourself-- linens are expensive. I appreciated the plates were real, rather than paper/plastic that other caterers use -- save the environment! OVERALL, excellent experience and highly recommend Childers!

Our food was delicious. From the day we had our tasting until our reception, we raved about the food we ordered and COULD NOT WAIT to have it again! Cynthia is very responsive, timely, and helpful! She offered many suggestions, alternate solutions, and her overall expertise! The process was very smooth and seamless.
Our only complaint was the day-of event coordinator was very rude and snippy. She accused our wedding party of taking beer from the bar without paying for it. She made snarky comments to the groom when he inquired what time the bar services started. And we even had guests complain about her pissy attitude.

Childers catered my daughters wedding. The catering staff were amazing. They were very kind, courteous and professional. They also worked very well together.

As for the food, everything turned out well except for the sirloin. The sirloin was so rare - the majority of the guests that chose it - could not eat it. Those potatoes though - were a hit!!!! Delicious!

I contacted Cynthia (Cyndi) via text after the event providing this exact feedback. In her reply she didn’t bother to mention the sirloin issue let alone apologize or attempt to rectify it. I suppose this was no surprise. Reading other reviews she appears to be the common denominator in those that are negative.

Prior to the reception our view of children was wonderful. All of our guests food was cold. The staff was extremely rude to our parents. My father in law saw them taking our dinner rolls off of the tables and went to check on that and saw them being placed in a large plastic bag, while dinner was still being served and he was told there were no more rolls. We have over 20 people not come to the reception and we're told by the staff there was no food left for them to box up and send home with our parents. Even though I had to pay for those meals. Then I later found out that all of the servers and staff took our meals home. I would never recommend using them and I especially will never use them again. Also they were bussing the tables before people were done eating and drinking and we're throwing out full glasses of wine and champagne that we had to pay per bottle for. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone. Worst experience ever.
