Chef Rozanna Catering

Chef Rozanna was going to cater our wedding in early August 2020, but due to the current pandemic we've had to post pone the wedding. I can still give my experience working with her. She came out to my house in Castro Valley (from Novato) to serve us food. While I demolished a whole tri tip and a whole chicken that night, the two salads were so good that they were both going to be served at the wedding. In fact the food was so spot on there was no need to tweak anything. The week before we had sat down with another highly rated caterer. Ultimately Rozanna had won us over not only with the food, but her personality. We had a great time with her. Rest assured once this covid subsides and we are able to get married, we'll pickup where we left off and Rozanna is our first choice.

It was a pleasure working with Rozanna leading up to our wedding. (Our actual day was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19, so this review is based on working with Rozanna pre-wedding + our tasting only). She was incredibly accommodating of every request: she put together a completely gluten-free dinner menu because my MIL has celiac's; she added a small vegetarian option for just a few guests who don't eat meat; and she even came up with a creative dessert she hadn't made before based on my partner's favorite flavors. And all of this within budget. I really appreciated her transparency on all the costs, and she had no shortage of tips & tricks for the wedding in general (and especially for the flow of cocktail hour and dinner) that I would never have thought about myself. She's clearly done this many times before and is a pro. For our tasting, she brought everything to our apartment in San Francisco and cooked for us right there in our home-- it was amazing! We tried the beef tri-tip, the chicken tinga, risotto with mushrooms, roasted potatoes with peruvian sauce, mac & cheese, and two salads. Everything was delicious, fresh, and expertly plated-- the beef tri-tip in particular was SO flavorful and delicious and stood out as a favorite. On top of all that, she's a delightful person with a great attitude, full of knowledge and creativity. We're so bummed about our wedding cancellation for many reasons, and missing out on sharing Rozanna's delicious food with our guests is a big one. 

My Husband and I were married at a Winery in the Dry Creek Valley with 100+ guests. We only had five months to plan the big day. Rozanna was so helpful and made me feel at ease. She was a huge part of planning the event from taking care of ALL of the rentals, designing an amazing menu of all of our favorite dishes and providing superb service.
Our wedding dinner was so delicious. We had all of our favorite foods. The Tri Tip was the best I have ever had along with her horseradish sauce. Wow…was I was a happy bride. The BBQ chicken, roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes were also great. We had a pasta bar as well which the kids and the adults at our wedding especially had fun with. There was something for everyone. The vegetarians were very pleased and had just as many great options to choose from.
Our guests raved about the food. I heard over and over how great it ALL tasted. I am so happy Rozanna was our Caterer! It was the best decision I made for the event besides marrying my Husband of course 
Rozanna was very patient and considerate with all of my indecisions and the typical frantic Bride moments. She was always available to answer my questions and make me feel at ease. I felt very confident that she was going to do an amazing job and she went above and beyond my expectations!!! Every detail was perfection. The food, the staff, the planning and the extremely valuable advice she provides after having so much experience in catering.
I VERY highly recommend Are You Being Served Catering, Rozanna and her extremely well trained staff! You will not be disappointed. If delicious and tasty food matter to you, than you need to work with Rozanna at your next special event. She made our wedding such a memorable event!!!
