We got married on the island of St. Thomas in May 2023 during our Harmony of the Seas sailing with 100 of our family and friends. Planning for our destination wedding started 3 years prior. Being from California, we knew we had to find the right travel agent to take care of our large group. We looked for an agent local to South Florida and first found Cristina Recio on Instagram back in 2020. What made her stick out when choosing the right travel agent was her social media content/activity, local knowledge, and her expertise in everything cruise as a top podcast host. We are so glad we “slid into her DM’s” in 2020 because the rest was history when planning our family cruise wedding trip.

We appreciated Cristina’s personal experiences with her family/friend travel adventures, and how she shared her wonderful experiences and lessons learned with us as her clients to make the most out of our vacations (eg, she sailed on Harmony of the seas right before we went with our group and she took the time to provide her first-hand experience on the ship and provide recommendations).

As a South Florida local, Cristina provided the best pre-cruise hotel recommendation for our group - centrally located to shopping/dining/attractions and in close proximity to the port. Our family gave lots of compliments on the location and customer service from the hotel. She is very knowledgeable with all sorts of travel needs.

She was quick and eager to respond to our concerns/questions, she had a game plan for our 100-person group booking and she had a lot of personal knowledge and experience with Royal Caribbean (RC). We quickly learned that she’s well intertwined with the RC network. We had lots of special requests as it relates to group events/coordination, and she pointed us in the right direction and continued to follow up when there were hiccups in communication. Although RC didn’t allow her to, she offered to go above and beyond to help us with our special request of hand delivering welcome bags to each of our guests. She was even so thoughtful to have a wedding gift delivered to our room - making our experience that much more special and memorable.

She was honest, dependable, experienced, dedicated, efficient and it was very organic/natural from the get-go. We appreciated that she kept us on a reasonable timeline for booking and it worked in our favor – since we booked so early and planned ahead with her, she was able to save our group hundreds of dollars since our sailing was in high demand and prices went up tremendously leading up the final payment date. We trusted that she always had the best interest for our group.

One of the most helpful things Cristina did for our group was she tailored and customized the trip based on each of our guest’s unique needs and circumstances. She provided recommendations leading up whenever concerns came up due to our guests’ special circumstances (eg, last minute changes/room updates/accommodating large families with kids).

After this experience we would highly recommend anyone to Cristina and she won’t disappoint! We plan to book future family trips with her. Our family and friends made it known to us that it was the trip of a lifetime, and we couldn’t agree more.
