Worst Bakery I have Ever Encountered
I work with bakeries versus chain stores almost exclusively for all of my social events. Because I was running short on time and this place was close, I thought I would give them a try. Six days before my event I ordered a specialty cake. I went in clerk could offer no pictures of previous work, could not offer suggestions, verbally listed a very limited number of flavors, but kept saying "we could do what ever you want". Well apparently not, due to your very limited number of options and flavors. Well, I decided to move forward. I ordered a custom cake that I had to think of and design myself, with no portfolio from the bakery. So I was feeling lucky figured even though I have NO pictures of their work, I'll take a chance. Well, never did get to see their work because when I went to pay for the cake the night before, they literally backed out of doing the cake all together. This is happening less than 24 hours before my event that's was scheduled on Saturday. The customer NO service baker simply said the decorator went home for the day and does not work on Saturday, so I was out of luck. Offered no solutions, offered no alternatives. Just said we sent you an email this morning. No phone call, an EMAIL. Did not care that it was a Friday night and that there was no way I was going to be able to find a baker on such short notice. First of all I didn't want a day old cake for my party. So make note of that all future customers, and know that you may or may not be able to pick up a cake hours before you event. After calling many bakeries that said it was too late to order a custom cake, Luckily a wonderful bakery in winter springs took pity on me and made a wonderful looking and tasting cake. NEVER NEVER AGAIN will I set foot in this place.
