Located on Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, the Charleston Tea Garden is a wedding venue. The property’s 127 acres are covered in rows of tea plants and large oak trees. Facilities and Capacity

The venue can host celebrations of up to 250 guests. The estate features a gift shop, the front porch of which can be used for weddings. Couples can use the front porch to meet their guests as they arrive, or hold a celebratory cocktail reception after the ceremony. The grounds are home to the “wedding tree” under which many couples have had their ceremonies. They can also choose other more open spaces on the estate. The Pavilion, a large covered space, can play host to ceremony or reception. It offers more shelter while still allowing the guests to admire the natural beauty of the island. The Pavilion features overhead lighting, for late-night parties, and ceiling fans, to counter the hot, sometimes humid, South Carolina weather. The area surrounding the Pavilion can be tented to create an additional shaded space.

Services Offered

Due to the large size of this property, they offer a shuttle service to aid guests in getting to the wedding tree easily. The Trolleys, as they are called, can also transport the couple to their ceremony. Occupants of the shuttle get to see a large portion of the tea plants and the island countryside. The property is also available to host the engagement party and rehearsal dinner, alongside a wedding shower.
