Stranded at airport
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Champagne Limousine Service, which has led me to decide that I will not be using their services again. While the initial airport drop-off was smooth, the return pickup was a complete failure due to poor communication and a lack of professionalism.
Prior to my trip, the owner specifically stated that any flight changes required a phone call. However, when they decided they would not be picking us up due to weather conditions, they only sent an email—despite knowing I was traveling internationally and may not prioritize checking emails while on vacation. As a result, I got off the plane to find no transportation, over 100 miles away from home.
I had to call three times before finally receiving a response, only to be asked if I had seen the email—an email that never definitively stated they wouldn’t be picking us up. When I explained that I now had to find an alternative car service, the owner’s dismissive response was, “Good luck with that.” I found this incredibly rude and unprofessional. Fortunately, luck was on my side, and I was able to find another service that got me home safely—something that should have been Champagne Limousine Service’s priority.
What bothers me the most is the complete lack of concern for our safety. Not once did they check to see if we made it home. Additionally, I sincerely hope that other passengers who were left stranded and had to book a hotel are being reimbursed. It’s also worth noting that there were several other limo services at the airport that ensured their passengers were picked up, despite the weather.
While my first experience with this company was decent, my second time using them left me stranded. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt after a previous driver got stuck in a ditch near my home, but now I see this service has only a 50% success rate. A limo company should be equipped to handle various weather conditions, and more importantly, they should communicate with their customers in a professional and considerate manner.
Although this last experience deserves a one-star rating, I am giving them three stars out of fairness, as the drop-offs were smooth. However, I will not be using their services again, and I would caution others to consider whether they can truly rely on this company when it matters most.
