The Rotary Club of Homestead, Florida, held their annual party at Casa Tranquila in Miami on April 20, 2024. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious and the hostess was charming, We all had a wonderful time. I can't recommend Casa Tranquila enough. Thank you to Casa Tranquila and everyone that made this wonderful evening possible.

I was originally supposed to have a destination wedding but things changed. The Casa Tranquilla team is amazing especially my host Francisco. From the minute I step foot on the venue, I was treated with the upmost respect and fell in love instantly. At that point, I knew I had to do whatever to make sure I get that venue. The team was very understanding of my predicament (Planning a wedding in 3.5 months) and did their best to accommodate me and my crazy family. The venue is GORGEOUS and you can literally make it work for you and your dream. Francisco was there the day of and was a great resource just in case. I really want to thank the team for making my reality better then my dreams.

Casa Tranquila provided the dream wedding for our daughter. She and her husband were overwhelmed by how beautifully Casa Tranquila executed their vision and how personal the entire process was. The food was amazing and all our guests raved over every course. The event felt so intimate and personal and each guest was treated as if he or she were a special guest. I cannot think of one detail that was overlooked or less than spectacular.

Casa Tranquila was exactly what we were looking for.
It was the most magical venue that allowed us to create, plan, and set up freely. This venue is truly a dream come true. Every guest spoke so beautifully about the venue itself. On top of it beautiful aesthetically pleasing, most venues are very strict with where certain moments of the day have to happen and with Casa Tranquila I was able to customize everything our way. On top of being able to do things the way we wanted to, we were also able to stay the night (extra cost) so like most venues, instead of the wedding ending at 11-12pm, we were able to stay up all night have have the best night ever! I highly recommend this venue to anyone!

We rented this venue for our wedding and an overnight stay, and it was hands down the worst decision we made throughout the entire planning process.

From the moment we signed the contract, Jeanette made our lives a nightmare simply because we chose not to use her recommended vendors—who, conveniently, included her brother-in-law, she treated us with constant hostility. I planned my wedding myself with the help of family to stay within budget, and every time we asked to visit the property to plan decor or logistics, she gave us a hard time and treated us with nothing but attitude. She even told us that “not even wedding planners visit this often”—and we only visited three times total. After our first visit, we realized we had to photograph everything in detail because we likely wouldn’t be allowed back to properly plan.

Jeanette constantly minimized my input, telling me to “relax” and “let my family handle it,” yet the day before the wedding, she refused to let them in to decorate unless I was physically there—despite us previously agreeing they could. She was openly rude to my family, and they felt awful knowing I had to deal with that on my wedding day.

Mind you—we also paid for an overnight stay, yet she told us we couldn’t use the kitchen inside the house. How does that make any sense?

To make matters worse, she repeatedly tried to claim we hadn’t paid her. She would ask my husband directly for payments, and I constantly had to send him screenshots of our receipts or the contract to show that either the payment was already made or wasn’t due yet. She even complained to my mother about a “missing payment,” which was completely false—it was actually a damage deposit that, per our agreement, was to be given as a check the day before the event. Because of her behavior, we even took full photo documentation of the house before and after our stay, just to protect ourselves from any false damage claims.

The property looks beautiful in photos, but it is not well-maintained. Because it’s partially outdoors, the house had a strong musty, moldy smell from Florida’s humidity and frequent rain. The koi pond surrounding the house, while picturesque online, smelled like a neglected fish tank. Free-roaming peacocks left droppings everywhere, which she only removed them the day before the wedding.

There was also a beautiful German Shepherd on the property, who sadly seemed neglected—thin, wearing a shock collar, and confined to small areas of the yard. It broke my heart to see.

Jeanette was dishonest, unprofessional, and deeply unpleasant to work with. She made what should have been a beautiful and meaningful occasion extremely stressful and emotionally draining. I would never recommend doing business with her or this venue. No matter how pretty the place looks in photos, the experience was not worth the stress, the tension, or the disrespect
