The perfect place to have our wedding! Professional staff, great location, and made our day wonderful!

Carolina Colours is a Beautiful venue in New Bern, NC. They dye the lake water a pretty blue for the day of the wedding. They are very hospitable and accommodate in case of bad weather. After my new husband and I walked inside from the ceremony, Ken was waiting for us with two cold glasses of ice water. We highly recommend Carolina Colours to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the eastern NC region.

We absolutely loved Carolina Colours. Its so pretty and Ken was great to work with. He was very quick to returned emails and phone calls. Ken also made sure to find out just how we wanted things and made sure it was done. All of the staff were friendly.....

Everyone at this venue has been extremely kind and helpful. They offer a beautiful ceremony and reception venue, and seem extremely flexible with scheduling.

Cant say enough about how awesome this place is. Beautiful setting and we were able to set up and break down over several days. Cant do that at a hotel.Very affordable and everyone so nice!

Ken was great to work with. He was very responsive and quickly returned emails and phone calls. Not to mention answering all my questions, I'm sure multiple times. Unfortunately the weather was iffy the morning of my daughters wedding, but Ken had everything ready to go for the outdoor wedding and quickly rearranged everything when it began raining. We moved the ceremony under the covered driveway outside facing the water and golf course and it was still beautiful. Tables were set up as we discussed inside for the reception. My only negative comment would be that the chairs inside were not the cleanest looking. If they had been lint rolled or something it would have made a big difference. All in all very happy with the venue and would recommend.

I really liked my wedding at Carolina Colours. I say "liked" strictly because of 2 things that I didn't care for.
1. When I walked out with my father- they only unlocked one door instead of both doors. So when I was walking out, my father had to go first and then I came out. I wanted that moment that all brides get in a photo of the doors opening (if you have doors to open) and all eyes on you. But instead I felt extremely disappointed when I got to the doors and the ladies informed me that they can't open the second door. But I carried on anyways because I couldn't let that spoil my day.
2. PEOPLE GOLFING! I received both edited and unedited photos back from my photographer (which I love her so check out that review!) and yes, Golfers in my background so that upset me.

But other than that- it was great. Great prices, Mr. Ken was awesome at meeting with my and my family and very easy to speak with. I love the fact that if it should rain, Carolina Colours has a back up plan. Overall, I liked it but maybe the next Bride will remember to ask that no golfers be in background and no flags on the golf course.

Great Venue if you have the right people decorating it. I had my wedding and reception here it turned out very nice. The owner does have some very strange rules about what is and what is not allowed due to "insurance reasons." Overall I would recommend this venue.
