Carmine's NYC

Carmine's is famous for their delicious Italian dishes and their generous portions. They are our go to restaurant every time we crave Italian. We decided to be unconventional so we hired them for our wedding. Our guests were more than in awe with how delicious our reception dinner was. By my own experience and I have been to quite a number of weddings, dinner is usually a bit lacking. Not at our wedding. Our guests really enjoyed their meal and many wanted to know who our caterer was. Everyone raved about how tasty it was. Came time to dance most didn't even want to move because they were so full! While many may not like the fact that there wasn't a lot of people on the dance floor, my wife and I were elated to see that everyone was well fed, a goal of ours.

Noel, the catering manager, met with us since our very first meeting and he saw it through from beginning to end. We met multiple times to visit party rentals, discuss day of planning, have a venue walk-through, and menu tasting. He was there every step of the way. Of course, no wedding in NY goes without a hiccup. The party rental company we hired Westside Party rental (My wife and I found them on our own and decided to go with them instead of the one Noel recommended) missed their delivery window and was super late. This is where we were most impressed - Noel and their waitstaff went out of their way to help unload everything off the truck and assemble every table and equipment. Even Noel himself got down on his hands and knees. Thanks to them our wedding wasn't delayed for a long time. We should have listened to Noel and went with his recommendation.

If you are looking for awesome food and a great staff from a professional company, use Carmine's. I highly recommend them. I'll use them again for future events.

Our guests are still raving about the delicious menu served by Carmine's at our wedding, and the Carmine's catering team headed by John Dancu did an amazing job with the food, event set up, and a little more at our venue. My husband and I are huge fans of the Carmine's menu, and it was our goal to serve it at our wedding.
The menu selection was a no-brainer since we knew exactly what we wanted food-wise, and they were very flexible in accommodating all of our special requests--our reception was on a Satuday, but we wanted to serve the Chicken Alla Romana (which is a Friday evening special dish at Carmine's) and they gladly accomodated. We also had a guest who required a gluten-free menu, and they were kind enough to offer gluten-free menu options for just one guest (at no additional charge.)
We hired Carmine's for the food, but John did more than just oversee the food--he was there from the beginning in helping with venue suggestions as well as rental selections, and he was there on our wedding day until the end of the evening to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. It was like having a coordinator who took care of everything from what goes on inside the kitchen to what needed to be set up outside the kitchen, and his team was courteous and efficient in carrying out everything from start to end. We cannot thank them enough.

Corinne at Carmines was an amazing help to us while planning our wedding dinner. The food was amazing, and so was the service. We enjoyed a wonderful family style Sicilian dinner and many beverages!
