I’m Casey, the photographer behind Captured x Casey, serving Springfield, Missouri, Southwest Missouri, and beyond. My approach combines genuine, candid moments with guided portraits that feel natural, romantic, and completely like you.
And if you’re thinking, “But we’re so awkward in pictures…” — you’re in the right place!
You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. I’ll give you direction when you need it, keep things moving when wedding-day chaos inevitably happens, and step back when the moment is better left alone. My goal is for you to look amazing without feeling like you spent your entire wedding day at a photoshoot.
After 17 years as a teacher, I’m also pretty hard to rattle. Big families, wandering groomsmen, timeline changes, nervous brides, unexpected weather—I’ll bring the calm, the organization, and usually a little humor when we need it most.
I want to capture the photographs you know you want and the moments you didn’t even realize were happening—the nervous smiles, happy tears, ridiculous dance-floor moments, quiet glances, and all the little pieces of your day that make it yours.

Choosing our photographer was one of the biggest decisions we made for our wedding, and we honestly could not have made a better choice. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and somehow managed to capture all of the little moments we didn’t even know were happening.
And the PHOTOS. They are absolutely incredible. We have been blown away by how beautifully she captured our day — the big emotional moments, the details we spent so much time planning, the candid moments with our family and friends, and all of the little in-between moments that we will treasure forever. There are so many photos that feel like us, and that was exactly what we wanted.
