Canoe Club Ballroom is a wedding venue located in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Founded in 1904 as a canoe storage facility, the property has hosted illustrious performers over the years, including Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, and Rosemary Clooney. In 1964, the club was purchased by ballroom dance teachers Paul and Laura Merola, and it has remained in the family ever since. Today, Paul and Laura’s daughter Stacy welcomes couples to tie the knot at a venue with over 50 years of experience planning and executing weddings.

Facilities and Capacity
Canoe Club Ballroom is nestled on two acres along the Nunckatessett River. This riverside retreat features a beautifully landscaped courtyard with white fencing and a bridge in the background. At the end of this courtyard rests a gazebo wreathed by hedges and flowering plants, which is a great spot for hosting your outdoor ceremony. The structure is painted white and topped with a brown shingled roof, while a tiled stone path makes for the perfect aisle. White chairs, set on either side of the walkway, wait to greet your guests. Inside the main building, the spacious ballroom affords excellent facilities for your reception. The combination of wood flooring, wall paneling, and a high ceiling impart a sense of grandeur to any special occasion. A row of tall, broad windows span one side of the room and bathe the space in natural light. Wall sconces, chandeliers, and a constellation of ceiling-mounted lights keep the room illuminated after the sun goes down. In the corner, a bar stands ready to distribute refreshments to thirsty guests. From the carpeted dais, the evening’s musical entertainment can keep everyone dancing late into the night.

The venue offers five hours of event time and all-inclusive services that cover everything from centerpieces and ceiling drapery to photography and a chocolate fountain. Chiavari chairs, chair covers and sashes, tables, floor-length tablecloths, entertainment packages, a photo booth, uplighting, and monogram lighting are also available. Full-service catering includes appetizers, a four-course meal, a late-night snack bar, custom wedding cakes, and dessert spreads.
