10/10. Would do it all over again. I found this vendor initially on the Knot and went to the website to watch their informative video. That sold me. It was just thoughtful and funny and you could feel the warmth of the place through the video. I asked my fiance if he wanted to go visit, he said yes and we secured a visit within a week !
Most places are sales. All sales/all about the money. Not once did we feel pressured into ANYTHING. I mean anything. We got a package deal and a "deal" is an understatement compared to competition's pricing/values.
The entire process was effortless. I could text or call and ask any dumb question needed. There was a vendor tasting, and all food is amazing. Not even a lie for a good review as my kids even raved. You get a free nights stay at hotel they work with-this new hotel is perfect 25 mins away and has a perfect bridal suite . My husband's suit was free. He looked AMAZING! Our vendors were communicated with by the venue and I didn't have to lift a finger to do anything I didn't want to. They have a package that will include everything if you'd like.
The venue is on a beautiful lot of land with a river surrounding and a view to die for from inside and out. 100% handicap accessible in every area. The staff is genuinely kind and have perfected what they do. They don't sugar coat , they plan a perfectly timed day and communicate effortlessly to ensure your day is how you want it in the time you alloted yourself. Did I say kid friendly? If not, add that in.

Amazing Venue!!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and the entire team. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Stacey, Matt, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable.
Their attention to detail was incredible, and it was clear that every aspect of the day had been thoughtfully planned and executed. The staff was attentive, professional, and always one step ahead, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy every moment of our wedding.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous everything was. The food was also outstanding so many of our guests told us it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Every course was delicious, and the service was exceptional.
What really sets this venue apart is the people. Stacey, Matt, and the entire team genuinely care about making your day special, and it shows in everything they do. We felt completely taken care of from the moment we arrived until the very end of the night.

Right when we walked in for our first tour of the Canoe Club Ballroom (CCB), my husband and I knew we found our wedding day venue! From the absolutely beautiful interior design to the spacious dance floor, large bar, and seating tables, we knew we wanted CCB to host the greatest event of our lives!
The day we toured, we were provided with a thorough packet of options, flexible and fair payment plans, and a detailed timeline of events, making the organizational component of this experience flawless. We booked our wedding fairly far out, but CCB continued to reach out and connect with us over the course of two years. As our wedding day got closer, they provided efficient in-person meetings where we never felt rushed and always felt welcomed to create our perfect day. Throughout the planning process, we worked closely with Stacy, Drew, Matt, and Tim (as well as many other wonderful people), who all displayed such professionalism while also having charismatic personalities that were contagious! In those meetings, we didn’t just plan; we got to know the CCB family more and shared a lot of laughs.
The CCB tasting event was an evening my husband, myself, and our parents will cherish forever! It was an incredible night that allowed us to really dive deeper into our wants and needs for the wedding, leaving us feeling confident in all of our choices. With that being said, the food offered through CCB was absolutely delicious! Throughout the entire planning process, the Canoe Club would respond to emails very quickly and with great detail. They even had documents that made collecting meals for our guests easy. We never felt lost in the process and never felt unheard in our requests.
It was no surprise that the professional vendors associated with the CCB were all exceptional as well. I cannot even begin to explain the amount of time and energy we saved by having incredible options from trusted professionals built into the Everything But The Dress program! For the vendors we used who were not associated with the venue, CCB was very accommodating. They completed all the organizing between space and equipment needs, as well as coordinated timelines. Everyone was so friendly and talented in their profession. We believe it speaks volumes about the excellence of the Canoe Club that everyone was able to work so seamlessly together!
My husband and I still talk about how truly impressive it was that the Canoe Club was on top of everything on the day of our wedding! We were provided a day-of wedding coordinator who kept our bridal parties on track and allowed us to follow the timeline of events we envisioned for our day. We were also so pleased with how well they set everything up and made all of our hard work come to life! We never had to stress about anything on our wedding day, and we were even handed our signature cocktails right after saying our “I dos!” Our guests still comment on how kind all of the people working with CCB were to them. It felt so wonderful to have a venue that wanted the absolute best for us and our guests!
We would recommend the Canoe Club Ballroom to anyone and everyone without hesitation. We firmly believe that if you book your wedding with them, you will have the same beautiful, fun, and special day without the very common wedding planning stressors! Our wedding at Canoe Club this past weekend was so amazing. Stacy and her staff are fantastic. My bridal attendant Jennifer was so kind and helped me with anything I needed. You get THREE wedding coordinators day of that keep your wedding day running smoothly. Other places seemed to just leave you on your own. It actually rained day of our wedding and they seamlessly shift gears to an indoor ceremony. Even though we couldn’t use the gazebo, it was still beautiful inside. Planning was so easy with them, they basically take care of everything. I would get married there again if I could! Don’t hesitate to book your special day here. Outstanding All Around
Stacy and Drew were top notch. From our very first meeting, to every email, phone call, etc, they were so clear and concise with what they needed from us. They were so good, by the time it was wedding week we felt guilty because we had nothing to do since Canoe Club were so on top of everything all we really had to do was show up.
The entire day of crew were excellent, especially Matt, our bridal attendant, who really played a much larger role than that. He was our right hand man all day and a lot of our guests mentioned how impressed they were with how on top of everything he was.
I simply cannot say enough nice things about Canoe Club. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding or other special event, please at the very least have your initial meeting with them. You will fall in love instantly and realize how great your event will be, and how stress free it'll truly be!Canoe Club Ballroom's reply:

We had the most incredible experience at our wedding venue, the staff was truly amazing! Super attentive, kind, and on top of every detail throughout the day. I cannot say enough about this establishment and the experience we had. We got the “everything but the dress” package and we wouldn’t change a thing!!! Soup to nuts, planning was fun, stress free, and Stacy gave me the vision I wanted and it was literally the best day! She makes the experience so personal ❤️ My Siberian Husky was even allowed to be in the wedding (she stole the show 🥰) 💕 Stacy, Drew, the entire staff were simply amazing! The day of, the groom and bride show up with their party’s and literally want, need or ask for nothing. CCB was already 2 steps ahead!! I would recommend this place to any couple looking to have a tasteful, classy and beautiful local wedding! Not to mention, we got married what was considered “off peak” so the prices were just unbeatable and worked well within our budget! From the moment we had our first visit at the Canoe Club we felt right at home. The staff is incredible, so kind and extremely attentive. I was always able to get a response to any question I had right away! They make planning your wedding so much less stressful. The preferred vendors we used through them exceeded our expectations!! Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and went so smooth! Stacy and Matt really made the whole day stress free and I was able to relax and have the best time! We were sad to have to say goodbye after the wedding! We felt like family!! Could not speak any more highly about this venue and amazing crew!!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we truly could not have asked for a better venue than The Canoe Club. From the moment we started planning, Stacy, Matt, and Drew made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Every meeting with Stacy and her team put us more at ease — they truly cared about making our day special, and it showed in every detail. They even contacted all of our vendors for us regarding their meals and day of timeline.
The venue itself is stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere that created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The food was delicious (our guests are still talking about it!), and the tasting experience was such a fun and memorable part of the planning process. The drinks were fantastic, and the bartenders and wait staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and kind.
What really set The Canoe Club apart was the way they handled everything for us. They took our vision and ran with it — from the decorations to the timeline, they brought it all to life. We never had to leave the dance floor because their team took care of setup, transitions, and even packing everything up at the end of the night.

Best wedding venue PERIOD!!
From the owner to the staff to our wedding captain Matt, everyone did everything they possibly could to make sure our night was special as it was. Amazing from start to finish
Canoe Club was amazing from the first time we met with them until the very end. They took care of everything for us leading up to and on the day of the wedding. All of their vendors were great and the food was amazing. Wonderful venue!
From the moment we met with owner Stacy and her staff we knew cane club ballroom was for us! The venue is beautiful and spacious, the food was incredible too! We got married at the Canoe Club last month, and I cannot recommend this place enough! This was the perfect venue - Stacy and her team help with every step of the planning all the way up to the wedding day. Our package included vendors (photography, entertainment, cake, and floral) who reached out to us and made it easy to get everything done. The cake was from Veronica's Sweetcakes, and we had guests telling us it was the best wedding cake they have ever had! Our guests also all loved the venue!

We had our wedding at Canoe Club Ballroom on March 14, 2025 and six weeks later we're still absolutely amazed at how great our wedding was. It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to incredible food. We could not have asked for better! They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout the entire wedding planning process. We had intended to have our ceremony outside, unfortunately due to the weather we had the ceremony indoors and it looked beautiful. Our guests were in awe of how great the room looked, how fantastic the food was, and how efficient that staff was during both the ceremony and reception. We highly recommend the Canoe Club Ballroom (CCB)! We hosted both our ceremony and reception there, and the entire process—from choosing the venue to the day of our wedding—was seamless and stress-free. Throughout the planning process, they supported me with reminders and guidance that kept me on track. I’m so happy we chose this venue not only for its beauty but also for its outstanding staff and great value. They offer various packages to suit different needs, and we went with the "Everything but the Dress" package—by far the best decision we made. The package covers so much, including some vendor services, which was a lifesaver for me. As someone who gets overwhelmed by too many choices, their curated list of preferred vendors made planning significantly easier. All the vendors were incredible, and because they frequently work with CCB, their communication was flawless.
The venue itself is stunning, both inside and out. On the day of my wedding, I was blown away by how beautifully they set up all my décor. I hadn’t given detailed instructions on where everything should go, but when I walked into the space, I was in awe—it was perfect. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect.
Although I had planned to get married outside, it rained that morning. I didn’t have to stress because the capable staff at CCB seamlessly adjusted everything for the indoor ceremony. They handled all the little details and behind-the-scenes work, allowing me to relax and fully enjoy my wedding day. Even small hiccups and clean-up were taken care of effortlessly by their team.

Wonderful Wedding!
My daughter got married last weekend at the CCB. Everything was top notch! Stacy, Drew, Matt and the rest of the staff could not have been more helpful, accommodating, and professional!
From the beautiful ballroom to the delicious food, everything was top notch! We got the “Everything but the dress” package and it made the planning so much easier.
Between the Roses provided the flowers , bouquets and boutonnieres. Heather was super nice and helpful! Veronica’s Cakes made a delicious 3 tiered cake and provided dairy and gluten free desserts that were phenomenal! George Confoey, the DJ, got the guests up and dancing all night!
I would give our experience at the Canoe Club Ballroom a 10!

We got married at the Canoe Club Ballroom on August 18, 2024. They took care of every detail so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
The Canoe Club staff treated us like family from the beginning. They welcomed us by name every time we saw them. They answered every question quickly whether in person, by text or email. Everything we asked for was documented and well executed. Even my guests commented on how well organized and coordinated the Canoe Club was.

My dream wedding
Honestly I don’t have one bad thing to say about my experience for my wedding at the Canoe Club. From the first appointment when we toured the grounds we knew this would be the space for us to get married. Stacey and her team were so incredibly helpful during the entire planning process and especially on wedding day. Every accommodation was met and the response for any questions was so fast. The space itself is so beautiful and can easily be customizable to what your vision is. For couples looking for venues on south shore MA- you will not find a better wedding package than what this place offers. To start, the venue inside and outside is beautiful! They run a business that is a well oiled machine. Stacy and Drew were professional from start to finish! Where do I even begin! We got married on June 2nd and the Canoe Club Ballroom was nothing short of amazing from the time we came in for our first visit to view the venue down to the final minutes of our wedding! I cannot say enough good things about the team there and how seamless they made the entire process. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious (I've been to a million weddings and haven't had food as good as theirs) and just overall we couldn't have asked for a better day. The best place you could choose

The Team at CCB couldn't be better! The planning process was so smooth, which was a huge selling point for us as new parents to an 8-week old at our first appointment. We chose the Everything But The Dress package for exactly that reason. Stacy and her team took care of all the details, so this busy mama wouldn't have to worry about a thing!
On our wedding day (4/5/24) our ceremony went off without a hitch! Even though the temperatures and mud forced us to have an indoor ceremony, it was beautifully arranged. We received many compliments from our guests.
During cocktail hour/formal photos, our infant son had a total meltdown from being overstimulated and tired. We had to adapt on the fly to allow me to address my upset son. Matt was our wedding party attendant, and he could not have been more FANTASTIC! He smoothly adjusted our entrance plans and allowed our guests to enjoy their first course while I was nursing our baby. This way, our guests didn't have to sit idly (and hungrily) waiting for us. The amount of care and compassion allowed this frazzled-at-the-moment mama feel super supported. My bridal party ladies and my mom all kept saying how great Matt (and the whole team) was to accommodate our changing needs. Matt received many grateful hugs that night!
Once we entered our reception, the rest of the wedding was smooth and so much fun! Our guests loved the food and the entertainment. We received so many compliments that night, and continue to do so as we reminisce with our friends and family.

The Canoe Club Ballroom (or CCB) is THE BEST place to have your wedding (or any event)! We had our wedding there in October 2023 and the staff go above and beyond, through the entire process, to make sure your day is perfect!
The owner, Stacy, works directly with each couple, to make sure everything goes smoothly and exactly how the couple has requested. The gorgeous ballroom has been in her family since the 60s, and Stacy has done well keeping the place looking up to date, but still keeping that close-knit family feel! Stacy and her team were very trustworthy, honest, and easy going, making us feel right at home! Throughout the night, Stacy not only made sure we were covered, but every single one of our guests were having a good time and had everything they needed. Stacy's hard work and dedication allowed for us to have no issues during our ceremony and reception.
When it comes to wedding planning, there are so many decisions needed to be made, and it was difficult to not get decision fatigue. When we did, we quickly would turn to the canoe club team who was always responsive and ready to give ideas, suggestions, and recommendations! They had very affordable wedding packages (or you could do an al la carte option) that simplified the entire wedding planning process. The Canoe club provided a preferred vendors list, that have all worked together for 10+ years, so they all knew how to work with the venue, each other and as a cohesive team. The CCB even condensed this list, by only sending us their vendors who were available for our wedding day!
Days and hours leading up to the big day, we had some unexpected changes needed to be made for the reception. Without hesitation, Stacy and her team quickly made all adjustments we requested to put us at ease.
On the big day itself, we were running a bit behind schedule and we started to panic. Without skipping a beat, once we finally arrived to the CCB, the staff had us lined up and ready to go right on time! We were baffled and pleasantly surprised. Not only did we not feel rushed but they continued to keep us on schedule throughout the entire night. During the night, they made sure we were able to enjoy ourselves, without being bombarded with questions and issues. They had constant communication amongst themselves to handle all situations so that we did not have to delegate the whole night.
Guests continue to rave about how fun our wedding was, but really how amazing the staff were. Everyone noted how friendly, helpful, and professional every staff member was (including the vendors)! When you book the CCB, you MUST request working with Drew C (specifically for your bridal attendant)! Drew was our best friend for the night, keeping us and our bridal crew happy, taken care of, and without worry! He goes above an beyond to make sure he helps the bride and groom from the moment we arrived until we were leaving the property. He not only is super nice, but is so personable, helpful and reliable! We truly don't know how we would have made it through the day without Drew and Stacy! These two made our day even more special. Trust me, they will not disappoint! As others have said there are so many amazing things I could say about the CCB. From the very beginning tour up until the last minutes of the wedding they were outstanding. Jennifer and Stacey welcomed us as we toured the venue and they were nothing short of accommodating and sweet. The venue and the grounds are gorgeous, and they recently updated some of the interior prior to our wedding and it was beautiful. We went for the "everything but the dress" package and it was well worth it. They made planning our wedding so easy and pretty much stress-free. Their communication and response time is fast and efficient. At any time if you have any type of question they get back to you quickly which made planning so easy as well. They have preferred vendors for everything you'd need and we were so happy with the ones we used. The photo booth was a great addition and I loved getting the book back with the photos people took. The man cave was a great touch for the guys so they had their own place to hang out and prepare. The bridal suite is huge and stocked with the essentials for touch ups. If you can upgrade to the floor monogram that was a big hit with guests! They truly take the time to make sure every detail is included. I seriously looked forward to any time I had to visit or talk to the CCB. I'm sad that I don't have a reason to go there or reach out to them anymore! If I had to do my planning all over again I'd choose Canoe Club every single time. They are just genuinely great people who are simply wonderful at their job. I will try to keep my review short and sweet since there’s soo many amazing things I could say about CCB. Let me start by saying that our wedding day on 09/08/2023 was SOO perfect. Everything we envisioned came to reality thanks to the amazing crew at CCB, Jennifer & Stacy made sure all the planning went very smooth. Stacy Drew & Mat made sure that wedding day was perfect. The day of my wedding I felt so well taken care of, Drew took the time to make sure every single of my needs were met. The CCB crew went above and beyond to make our day soo special. Appetizers/food/drinks were amazing. Wedding day went so fast, it was so magical that I finished the night by tearing up once saying goodbye to the amazing CCB crew. The best ever!!
Best choice we could ever make and the easiest! So helpful and answered every dumb question I had. I would recommend them in a heart beat. The best venue to have a wedding at. So many quests said they had the best time and that I was actually one of the best weddings they have ever been to if not the best. That definitely has everything to do with Canoe Club. We had a storybook wedding at the canoe club. Stacey was amazing and all of the staff as well. Everything went like clockwork, and we couldn’t be happier. there was great planning throughout the process and they also help you make payments to your balance due so you don’t end up filled with anxiety about paying for your wedding! They were very available and answered all of our questions, especially my brides questions as they came up, and we’re just a general joy to deal with. The only minor kink was they took the wedding cake off the table from guests a little quicker than we would’ve liked. In the grand scheme of things, not a catastrophe, but just a minor issue. Overall it was fantastic, beautiful decor, excellent coordination, and very professional and warm in all interactionsCanoe Club Ballroom's reply:

BEST place to hold a wedding or any function at all! The staff was incredible especially Stacy and Jennifer. Food was excellent, drinks were good. Venue is absolutely beautiful! They responded quickly throughout the whole wedding planning process! Answered any questions we needed! Made any accommodations for us to make our day special! The vendors included were all amazing! DJ George Confrey was great! Played amazing music had the guest dancing/entertained! Visions forever photographer, Stephanie captured beautiful and heart felt pictures. Amazing experience
We had our wedding here and absolutely fell in love with it! The venue is so beautiful and made for amazing moments and pictures! The people are just as great! All so friendly and quick to respond when we reached out. They were all just so welcoming and it made for such smooth planning and amazing wedding night. It’s a beautiful venue but what completely sold us from the start is the staff. Jen was super helpful from day one of our tour and Stacy absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had a couple issues that came up in the planning stages with some of our vendors and Stacy always came to our aid. She knows a lot of people, even those that aren’t preferred vendors at CCB, and just has a way with people. She made phone calls on our behalf, she gave us some great ideas when we were stuck, and ultimately helped us work out everything. We never felt alone during the planning process. Stacy and Jen were always in our corner. They were not only helpful and friendly, but very flexible. The day of the wedding everything went off smoothly and that’s with me being pregnant, so no easy feat! We would recommend the Canoe Club 10/10 times!Canoe Club Ballroom's reply:

The Canoe Club Ballroom was the best choice for our wedding and reception, hands down! From the first meeting when we viewed the venue through the day of our wedding, the experience was nothing short of perfect. We worked closely with Stacy & Jennifer throughout the process. The entire staff at CCB was so kind and helpful during the planning as I had MANY questions but they always answered them with detail - and were quick to respond as well! I could go on and on about how great of an experience we had. The prices are very reasonable, the support you will receive from the staff is outstanding and the venue itself is absolutely stunning. The Canoe Club Ballroom was the first venue we looked at during our search and after all the ones we had visited during the summer of 2018, this one was the best, by far! The owner, Stacy Merola, and her staff were so inviting and answered every question we had. They were also very transparent about their prices and showed us a breakdown of everything. Their rate packages were perfect by including vendors, which made the process easier by giving us their list of recommended vendors to work with. They were super helpful during the entire process and answered our emails and phone calls promptly. They were even amazing during the pandemic by keeping us updated with what was going on and what their process would be for reopening. They let us reschedule multiple times (4 times to be exact) and it paid off in the end with the perfect wedding. They always let us know what their Covid restrictions were and helped us through everything. They helped keep the stress down as much as possible by being incredibly flexible and always available. They made what was already a stressful time, compounded by a global pandemic, much more manageable. They were very helpful with every detail and always made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. Stacy and her team proved time and time again they are experts in this industry and that they are worth every penny. Our wedding was perfect and magical and we couldn't have imagined it any better. From booking our wedding in December 2019 all the way through the pandemic and having to reschedule, everyone at the CCB was amazing. So helpful, always there to answer any and every email/text/phone call, & extremely prompt at that. Almost 2.5 years of planning to make our day perfect, and it was just that!
We literally cannot think of one single thing that went wrong throughout the entire day. Everything went smooth, no hiccups, no issues.
All of their preferred vendors were awesome and super helpful!
