Emily Smiley at Candy Rose was AMAZING to work with! She was lovely and easy to communicate with. She did my hair for my engagement photos AND wedding. She also did the makeup for my mother, MIL, and sisters. My MIL was concerned about her hair being very thin, and Emily gave her peace of mind and made her feel so beautiful! Her rates were also very affordable compared to most other hair/makeup artists in the area. Definitely would recommend for peace of mind on your wedding!

Candy Rose Events did hair and makeup on my wedding day for myself and my bridesmaids. Candy and her staff were wonderful to work with. In addition to services on the day of my wedding, I did a trial and hair and makeup for my rehearsal. Each time I needed a service, I was met with welcome and things were always handled in a timely manner. On the day of my wedding, the Candy Rose Events staff was friendly and upbeat. We all loved our hair and makeup and everyone looked stunning! Working with Candy Rose was an all-around positive experience and I would highly recommend her for hair and makeup.

This was the first time I ever had my hair and makeup done professionally and I wouldn’t have wanted to go with anyone else! Emily did my makeup and hair perfectly and it held up all night (even after hours of dancing!) My girls looked awesome and we really enjoyed a morning of getting pampered and jamming out to old school music.

The crew was timely (even when my girls and I were running 5 minutes behind), flexible (one of my bridesmaids cut her hair short, so she didn’t need her hair done, so they were willing to help fix up the best man’s curly hair instead, thank you so much!) and accommodating with the requests of my bridal party and family, and worked quickly without sacrificing quality. I'm extremely self conscious about my appearance. Which is why on my wedding day, with everyone important in my life in the same room, with hundreds of photographs taken of me, I deserved to look and feel as beautiful as possible. And I wanted my mom, mother in law, and bridesmaids to feel the same. Even though I take pride in my makeup technique and can do my own glam look any day of the week, I'm lost when it comes to styling my hair. And I didn't want to do my own look on my wedding day. So, I looked to the professionals. Candace was straight forward from the beginning by providing me with a thorough rundown of her team's services, costs, and logistics. I loved the organization and even though the prices were higher than I was originally comfortable with, again, I needed professionals and I believe that your wedding day beauty is not something to cheap out on.
My hair is long and fine so I've always wanted extensions for volume and more length. Before my trial, I went to Sally Beauty Supply to get clip in extensions and I booked my trial well in advance before my wedding day to make sure I had the look I wanted. My stylist Allie was so sweet. She was patient with me through every question I had and worked fast with my hair extensions to achieve a partial updo. To a future bride reading this, COME PREPARED to your trial with the exact photo inspiration you want for your hair and makeup. Your stylists are not mind readers :)
On my wedding day, everything was SO SMOOTH. I was so afraid of running out of time but Allie assured me that we were running on schedule and we ended up finishing the entire team of girls plus myself EARLY. (I'm very particular of how my eyebrows are styled so I asked Allie if I could finish styling them myself with my own brow pencil and she said no problem! If you have a specific way you like your makeup, don't be afraid to step in and do something yourself if your stylist isn't quite sure!)
