Melissa from Cain’s Creative is so nice and responsive. She made the most delicious mini cupcakes and stunningly beautiful, custom-decorated cookies for our wedding happy hour. We regret not going with Cains Creative for our wedding cake- we ended up going with another vendor based solely on a unique flavor offering, and we were sadly disappointed on our wedding day. The cakes we tried with Cains were so moist and flavorful- really wish we had gone with Melissa!

Melissa and Bret were wonderful. Our cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Their flavor selections are delicious. They even made me a coconut cake layer that I requested, which was a first for them. If you love coconut like I do, need to request this flavor! It was beyond amazing! They even let me provide my own passion fruit jelly filling for the coconut cake. They are more than willing to make you exactly what you want.

Cain's Creative Cakes was tremendous. They made us 3 different types of cupcakes and a cake that looked just like the picture I sent them. They gave us a tray to put out at the wedding and delivered and set them up. Also, Brent was always willing to drive to meet up for a taste test, to pick up bows for the cupcakes, and to pick up the tray after the wedding. The only negative I have is that the owners can sometimes be hard to get ahold of or get a response from. Emails sometimes took a few days to return and the voicemail box was full so you couldn't leave a message. However, I would strongly recommend Cain's Creative Cakes to anyone who needs reasonably priced delicious sweets for your wedding!

We had an unconventional wedding cake idea for our brunch wedding - a cinnamon roll wedding cake. We envisioned pull-apart cinnamon rolls, arranged into tiers to look like a wedding cake (so each tier would have a cluster of cinnamon rolls all baked together that could be pulled apart for serving). We explicitly expressed we DID NOT want individual cinnamon rolls presented cupcake style on the tiers. Cains Creative Cakes had delicious cinnamon rolls and communicated she could execute our vision. She even sent pictures from the internet to confirm we were all on the same page as to what we were requesting.

When we walked into our reception, there were cinnamon rolls presented like individual cupcakes on a tiered set up.... exactly what we DID NOT WANT. The cinnamon rolls were delicious, but it was still disappointing.

We followed up with her after the wedding. Apparently, the size cinnamon roll we picked... she could not execute our vision on. Which she never told us about. Otherwise we could have changed the size of the cinnamon rolls or worked out something else. She apologized for the lack of communication, and that was it.

We had initially found Cain’s during the January 2016 Rocky Mountain Bridal show, and visited their booth 4 separate times to keep trying new samples! They were pleasant during the initial interactions, and their cake was by far the best at the show. However, after that event, I tried calling and emailing several times in order to actually schedule a consultation. I was a bit put off by their fee for consultation (listed on their website), but was able to confirm a free consult based on the bridal show. The huge problem: they didn’t show up after my now husband and I had driven 45 minutes across town! Even though I had two separate emails confirming the Lakewood address, they said the meeting had been set up in their second office location, in Fort Collins! While they did eventually apologize, there was no attempt to save my business by offering another date or time to meet! I was highly disappointed. After multiple other vendor meetings, my now husband reached back out to see if we could try to once again make it work – I couldn’t find any other cakes that I felt were as tasty! Although they were willing to try again, coordinating an actual meeting space and time was hectic – we had multiple emails saying their inspections on the new bakery were going slow, they’d have to find another location to meet, and then coordinating a time became a hassle. Ultimately, we went with another vendor – though the Cain’s cakes were tasty, their ability to handle the customer service / business side of the house made me question if they would drop the ball on my big day, and I did not want the extra stress.
