My husband and I had our engagement shoot with Carly and were pleased overall with the photos she took. We almost immediately booked her for our wedding
As the wedding approached, and schedules were finalized for the day of, we attempted to touch base with Carly to confirm final details and plans, such as when she would arrive to the venue, what time we would be getting ready, and what she needed from us the day or. In the 3 weeks prior to the wedding, we attempted to contact Carly via text message, phone calls, voice messages, emails to her personal email as well as emails to her business email. There were a total of 19 days that we were unable to reach her. Two days before, we requested that my mother-in-law call her, out of pure desperation. We were concerned that Carly would not show at our event due to the lack of communication. When my mother in law spoke with her, several hours after contacting her, she texted me and my husband to say she would send a schedule to us the following day (the day of my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner). There was no contact made with Carly (again) this day.
Finally, the morning of my wedding, a bridesmaid attempted to contact Carly via phone. Carly finally replied to the call about 90 minutes after we had arrived to the venue. At that time she said she had already sent documents to me that morning, however no documents were received. Thankfully, at that time, (two hours before the ceremony began,) Carly arrived to the venue.
I cannot explain how disappointed we are with the lack of communication between Carly and myself and my husband. We had actually lined up a family member to stand in as a photographer with his digital camera, as our parents did not believe Carly would arrive on our wedding day. This ordeal added an extra element of stress to our wedding day and was never addressed by Carly in any way.
