You will not regret booking your event with Venue 142! We held our wedding reception there on Oct. 21, 2023 and it was absolutely perfect. I believe we booked with Venue 142 in February and as I developed questions, I would request a meeting. Despite having back to back to back events, they always made time to sit down with me and go over my questions. The day of? Everything was spotless and the staff was so responsive. The venue itself is unique with brick walls and flowing white drapes. My guests walked in expecting the same old ballroom and were really surprised and pleased. Then came the food. No dried chicken from a hotel here, the owner is known for amazing food. Most of my guests went for seconds and even my friends with dietary issues were floored not only by the service, but by what they were served. Every table I visited raved about the food! The highest praise is that my niece who unfortunately made a large deposit on a venue for her wedding without checking out Venue 142, is booking Venue 142 to cater her wedding. In her words, “the food was banging!”: She even wants a similar menu. You will not go wrong with Venue 142!

Beautiful venue, and awesome staff to work with. Pricing was very reasonable at $1150.00 a day.

I am a wedding coordinator from out of town and when I called Kayla I knew I had found the right place. From start to finish I had a flawless experience. She has everything ready when we arrived in town and the day went off without a hitch. She was always a call away and I hope to book another event with them soon!

My daughter planned her wedding from Virginia while we were helping from Illinois. I was so concerned with not being there but our experience was incredible. It was a small wedding during Covid and they made the day so special from the all the decorative details to handling a temperamental mother of the groom. We were worried about the food because my husband is a chef but it was AMAZING. I would highly recommend this venue! Can't thank them enough for making my daughter's day so special.

My family and I attended my Sisters wedding a few months back at Venue 142 and I have to say their overall ability to accommodate out of town guest was above and beyond what we expected. I was in charge of finding hotels, restaurants, and tasks to do with my family as well as our other relatives during the long weekend get away. My sister got me in contact with her wedding coordinators Paige and Kayla who handled our hotel reservations as well as 5 other family's at the Marriott hotel less than a mile away from them. They also had a list of places to go for a good meal right in town and activities to check out in deland and in orange city like the blue springs! They tried to keep everything in walking distance for us which was incredible. The day of my sisters wedding was to be expected! The Venue was stunning and the food was the best wedding food I have ever had. My sister chose a Prime Rib Carving station that was out if this world! I could go on and on! If I could give this venue a 10/10 I would. Thank you Venue 142 for not only making my sisters day incredible but the guests trip to Deland one to remember as well (Not just for her wedding lol)!!!

Venue 142 is a stunning venue hall for weddings and many other parties I recently attended a wedding at the venue for my cousin and we loved the Venue so much I booked my baby shower with them! The team is incredible and so easy to work with, from the wedding decor they had for my cousin to the baby shower plans they have created for me they are truly 2 dream come true events! The food for the wedding was so delicious I CAN NOT wait for my event!

A big shout out to Frank and Kayla at Venue 142. First on wedding wire they answered me the same day. I have found that a lot of people take days to answer. I scheduled an appointment to see the place. There were two spaces to choose from. The packages were affordable and so beautifully laid out. I threw my sister an elaborate bridal shower. I chose the space that worked best for my party and a menu that made my mouth water. After immediately booking with them Frank also assisted me in getting a hotel room right down the street. I was so thankful because it was fully booked due to a NASCAR race but frank came through with the perfect room. The day of the shower I was able to go in early and decorate the place to my liking. I was so thankful to find a place that let us have our unique Office themed party! Quite a few places did not allow such things, even tastefully done. As soon as my sister saw the venue , the food all laid out , and the presentation of mimosas and bloody Mary’s she began to cry. We went overboard for her and could not have done it without you guys. Thank you for being accommodating above and beyond anyone I have worked with. An attendant (Mr.Bill) came and checked on us multiple times throughout the party and made sure we were all happy. Frank , you really made my sisters dream come true. Thank you for making it a Bridal Shower for everyone to remember. I will be recommending all my friends for any wedding or events to come.

I didn't know what I wanted when I was looking at wedding venues.I just wanted something unique and classic to fit my elegant vision. As soon as I saw pictures of Venue 142, I knew that this is where I wanted to have my reception. This reception space is newly remodeled in an old early 1900s building. The hall still as the original hardwood flooring which was a selling point for me. The exposed brick and beams in the reception room were perfect! Tables and chairs come included, but thats about it. Everything else has to be brought in, including a bar if you want one. Since no food or beverage is provided by the venue, you have to bring in your own, which was a money saver for us. Susan was extremely easy helpful and easy to work with. even when my DOC locked herself out of the bridal suite (it does lock, so watch out for that when leaving!) It's on the smaller side. We had 64 guests and we fit comfortably. We invited 90 and I think if everyone had came, it would have been a tight squeeze. They only book one wedding a day, so you don't have to worry about another event getting in the way.
The buffet can be set up in a separate area, so the food and set up does not happen in the middle of your event. Small kitchen area and bridal suite is included. Chandelier in pictures was brought in from an outside vendor (they only allow the use of one vendor for any draping/chandeliers. This includes not being able to hang items yourself)
Parking is plentiful around the square, and it was pretty easy to find.

What an amazing venue! The space fit perfect for our event and was right downtown Deland. They were accommodating and helped create a memorable experience for myself and all of our guests. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend!

My fiancé and I just had our tour of the venue! Although it is under construction it is absolutely stunning what venue 142’s team has done with the place. The girls we met with are so sweet and so accommodating. They were also able to answer all of our questions very organized and gave us our own folder with all the information they told us about. We love this venue and can not wait to see It when it is all done!! Wonderful job!!!
