I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Burns Florist. Krista was so accommodating (my wedding was Mother's Day weekend and I know she was swamped)! She was so sweet and took all of my direction to heart. Her and her team made the most BEAUTIFUL bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. I will 100% use her services again and would recommend her to anyone. She was so easy going and reliable, two things I love. I am SO HAPPY I chose Burns for my wedding. She exceeded my expectations!

The one floral arrangement that most girls dream about more than any other is their wedding bouquet. Searching for someone who can take that vision and turn it into reality takes time and patience. After interviewing several florists with my daughter, Krista was the one we both thought would create what she wanted and we were not disappointed. She LISTENS and asks enough questions to get it right.

In addition to a gorgeous wedding bouquet, Krista created beautiful flowers for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, tables and church as well as a babies breath wreath for the base of the wedding cake. The roses were in a perfect state of bloom on the wedding day and lasted a week beyond. She takes great pride in her work and personally delivered all of the flowers to 4 locations the day of the wedding.

There are lots of florists out there, but there is only one Krista. Thank goodness we found her.... and maybe you will too.

Kaplan Flowers/Burns Florist created the most beautiful arrangements for our Mammoth, CA wedding!! Krista took my vision and turned it into simply the most stunning job that I could ask for. She is very knowledgable about the business (seasonal flowers, hardiness of flowers, etc.,) and will provide the best service for your wedding. Our guests were so floored by the quality and unique design of our arrangements. We used birch logs for the guest tables and handmade wood boxes for the head tables, and she filled them with gorgeous garden roses, regular roses, succulents, lisanthus, dahilas, and dusty miller. My bouquet was to die for, so full of the colors that I wanted and just fabulous. Without Krista, our wedding wouldn't have been complete!!

Burns Florist owner Krista Kaplan championed a number of unusual challengeswhen she took on this large and elegant Nob Hill wedding ceremony, reception, and dance. For one thing, her clients wanted "Cole Porter" style flowers and arrangements and Krista was barraged with their research, a zillion images, and even a long list of flowers and composition styles they called "Not's". Krista rose to and embraced this challenge throughout the design process and was always open, astute, patient, and accommodating. Also complicating the project as did venturing into the past for floral compositions and style werethe late-decided and unusually elaborate floor plan specs for three large lobbies, a ceremony hall, a large banquet room, two bars, two lounges, and a dance hall. The multi-faceted floor plans had a confusing (and changing) panoply of tables and other surfaces to adorn and to coordinate with the decor designer's elaborate, eclectic tablescapes evocative of a "Cole Porter elegant speakeasy loosened up." Krista was fantastic to work with--competent, calm, flexible, and fully enfranchised in the cause.

On top of her consistent professionalism and competence, Krista soon became my fairy god-sister in spirit, too. As commonly happens during the final weeks before "curtain" when the production machine of a large scale wedding cranks into high gear, the devil is in the myriad details of coordination. In this particular instance unexpected monkey wrenches came into play when a "Month Of" coordinator came aboard. Krista, wise and poised to "expect the unexpected", helped me get through some stormy weather as would a sagacious dear friend. I am ever grateful to her and to her staff not only for their very beautiful floral arrangements and hard work, but for the steadfast commitment to my cause and the compassionate support--well beyond the call of florists' professional duties--that they gave me!. All were dazzled by the work product, too. Thank you!!!!

My review pertains to Burns Florist, I did not deal with Kaplan Florist so I do not want to speak negatively about them, however stay away from Burns Florist, I cannot even believe how unprofessional they are and hope no one has to go through my experience with them which is why I'm sharing it.

I contacted Burns Florist for my wedding flowers and provided Kelly with all the information necessary for a quote (e.g., type of flowers, delivery information, quantity, etc.). I had to call Kelly twice to provide the same information because I presume she didn't write it down the first time and then it took her 8 days to get back to me with a quote. By the time I finally got the quote, I had decided to make my own bridal bouquets and ordered boutonnières from another florist. I never responded to the quote Kelly sent and we never spoke again on the phone.

Then on my wedding day, despite not having an order from me, not receiving any confirmation that I was still interested in flowers or any other type of confirmation, her company delivered flowers to my venue and left them there without speaking to me or getting any type of approval. No one knew where the flowers came from so the flowers were left sitting at the venue.

A few days after my wedding, I received an email from them demanding payment for the flowers they delivered which I never ordered! I responded immediately and explained that I never placed the order and would not be paying for something I did not order. I then left the country for my honeymoon and during this time I received many threatening voicemails from Burns including a voicemail at my place of work threatening that if I don't pay they will take me to court and "make me look bad at my work." This type of behavior is absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for especially when they are 100% at fault. I can't believe any business would have the audacity to do something like this!
