We reviewed the portfolios of dozens of wedding photographers, and they really stood out from everyone else. Their work really outshines the field in terms of integrity, authenticity, and artistry. Brooks cares about documenting emotion and the fleeting, beautiful moments that fill your wedding day, but that can be so difficult to capture if you don't have their careful, attentive eye. They find unique and surprising perspectives to tell stories that would otherwise be unheard, and they also have a knack for being in the perfect place at the right time to capture the tear or smile that sums up a lifetime of loving someone. Yes, they’re that good. In addition to being the most creative and skilled photographers you can find, they are such a lovely, calm, genuine couple who will elevate your wedding day just with their presence. They’re somehow constantly present, but in a humble, quiet way that felt so integrated into the wedding. They truly went above and beyond. In the flurry of activity right before the ceremony Sarah was helping us with tasks like a sister (she buttoned my mom's dress!), and then she stayed more than an hour after we had initially planned in order to capture the dancing. I loved watching them move through the day with their quiet power to notice and capture beauty. They are incredibly focused and yet somehow manage to be open to all of the spontaneous moments that you later can't imagine having missed. I promise you that you will thank yourself for making such a spectacular decision if you work with them. We LOVED having them be a part of the wedding--we just wish we could have spent more time just hanging out. When we think of our wedding day, we think of a day infused with Sarah and Eric’s kindness, patience, and warmth. They combine grace and unparalleled artistic skill. In the words of one of our best friends, "I know I was at your wedding and it was beautiful, but these pictures feel like something out of Hollywood and I sort of have to double check that I was there," and my brother, "WOW, those photographers NAILED IT!" They also went beyond generous in working with us to ensure that every moment and person we hoped to capture was part of the wedding gallery. We really cannot imagine a more accommodating and kind approach to sharing their work. They also adorably encouraged us to record us watching our wedding slideshow, which is also something we're so grateful to have. We look at their photos every day. The photos are definitely the antidote to a sad day, and bring us back to the overwhelming joy of being surrounded by our loved ones on the happiest day of our lives. We know we will treasure them as long as we live. We really don't know how to thank them. We would be extremely grateful to have Sarah and Eric be a part of any important occasion in the future, and feel SO lucky that we were able to work with them on our wedding.
