About
BRIK Venue opened its doors in April 2016, after founder and CEO Lynsie Blau saw the potential of this 100 year-old former textile mill and set her vision into motion. BRIK offers two large indoor areas (upstairs ceremony space, downstairs reception space) and an outdoor courtyard where clients have several options to truly customize their events without the hassle of flipping spaces. Additionally, BRIK features numerous Instagram-worthy photo backdrops, such as our industrial graffiti patio, lush ivy wall, and picturesque rooftop.
Our unique amenities include an open vendor policy, custom farm tables and wooden benches, plenty of parking, long venue rental hours, and one of the best, biggest, and most luxurious bridal suites in all of DFW.

Lynsie Blau is the owner and sole founder of BRIK Special Event Venue. She opened the doors at BRIK in spring of 2016 and hasn’t slowed down since. Her second venue, The Ostreum, opened in 2019. The amazing team she has curated ensures that all clients and guests have a stellar experience. Lynsie happily lives in the Fairmount neighborhood in Fort Worth.
Christy was one of our first BRIK brides to book her wedding in 2016! By 2017, she was hired to work part-time on the weekends as an event liaison. After 20 years teaching high school English, she decided it was time for a change and came on full time as the Director of Events, a role that expanded over to The Ostreum when it opened in 2019. She oversees everything from emails, contracts, invoices, final meetings and everything in between. She and her husband live in the Ryan Place neighborhood in Fort Worth.
Kristen joined the team in October of 2018. She holds a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University (WHOOP). Her background spans from retail management to account management for a digital marketing agency to working on an organic farm. After planning her own wedding in 2017, she realized she might enjoy being in the wedding industry. She found this to be absolutely true! She handles venue tours. She and her husband reside in the SOMA district.
