Brandon provided us with exactly what we wanted and so much more. Our wedding was non-traditional and he handled everything that came his way with professionalism and thoughtfulness. His artistry is unmatched in the wedding video industry. Brandon's unique perspective is refreshing and I have found myself watching our video over and over again. We were lucky and had Tyler as Brandon's assistant, truly a dream team! It's a once in a lifetime event and I can say that we will go back to Wirken for all of our other once in a lifetime events to come.

When I got engaged in 2010 I knew that photography and video were VERY important to my wedding day. After all the cake gets eaten, the flowers die, and what you are left with is the memories of that day. I knew Brandon from assisting him a few times when I was a photography student. I knew he was a nice guy, and definitely a good friend with a lot of talent so I knew he would do a good job capturing our wedding. However, he did way more than a good job. Brandon went above all our expectations for our wedding videography, he captured not only what we wanted to see, but real and honest moments, things that sometimes don't translate well to photo like the real emotion of your vows, the quiver in your voice, the nervous giggles he really captured it all. And he captured it so beautifully. Brandon and his assistant were with us our entire wedding day always present but never intrusive. My husband and I trusted Brandon a lot and just handing him the reigns letting him film whatever he wanted however he wanted and I am SO glad we did. We got a short film, a long film, and an engagement video. All of which has brought my friends and family to tears. The wedding video brings back memories and emotions of the day again and again for us to relive. Hiring Brandon for video was the best choice we made in our entire wedding planning process. He told the story of us honestly, and emotionally, and we are forever grateful for it. If you are looking for someone with real talent and a unique eye this is your guy!!!!!!

We hired Brandon at Wirken Films to be the videographer for our wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier. When deciding on a videographer, we watched a lot of sample videos from other companies. After a while a certain pattern emerged- the video told a chronological story of the wedding day. Essentially that was what we wanted a videographer for, to document our wedding day, but after seeing Brandon’s samples we saw what was missing from the other videos.
As you can see in his work, Brandon films the day like a documentary. All of the necessary shots are there (getting ready, vows, speeches, reception, etc.), but his videos were the only one that captured the subtle moments that are special between the bride and groom on their wedding day.
The day of the wedding Brandon and his assistant showed up on time (which was an hour away from Kansas City) and let us know they were there. The rest of the day they were invisible. They didn’t try to set the scene or suggest poses, they just followed us around and documented the day as it was. The result was an incredibly natural video that really transports me back to the wedding day.
Overall, we were very pleased with Brandon and Wirken Films. Everyone LOVED our short video (we posted it to Facebook and Twitter) and we have recommended him to more than a few of our family and friends. I’ve even had friends of friends and old high school acquaintances reach out to me to ask about our videographer because they loved our short video so much. We are very happy with our video and will cherish it forever.

Brandon was an absolute dream to work with. I feel like in the short time that we knew him, he really got to the essence of what my husband and I are all about, which was reflected in the amazing wedding videos we got. At first we only purchased the short film, but after seeing the incredible quality of this video, we knew we had to get a longer film. And we were not disappointed! Every single one of my friends and family who have seen the films rave about how it truly captures the two of us and our relationship. The wedding video is a must for your special day, especially if you have this company's artistic vision. I loved everything about my wedding video, the music, the editing, and the most important part was the style. This is not a cookie cutter video, I felt like this video was our own personal music video sharing a story. Brandon zooms in on the key moments of the wedding, the ones you want to remember, the look on your face, and those around you. He was fun to have around, and accommodating. He also let's you just breathe, and go with the flow, which is very helpful on your wedding day, you have enough people telling you what to do on that day!!

To be honest, I originally had thought I didn’t need a videographer. Then, I ran across Brandon. After seeing his work, I knew I wanted one. I convinced my fiance and we knew we made the right decision after our engagement video. Then, we got our short film edit of the day and fell in love with our video.
