Words cannot truly capture the magic we experienced at Borgo Castelvecchi, but we’ll try — because this place made our wedding more than we ever could have wished for.
We came to Castelvecchi with high hopes and big dreams… but also with a more modest budget than many other venues we’d looked at. The team not only made those dreams come true — they exceeded them in every way.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, cared for, and truly special. Everyone — Barbara, Daniele, Sofia, Lorenzo, and the full team, as well as Giovanni, the kind and passionate owner — went above and beyond to make sure we were supported, comfortable, and able to enjoy every moment. They are all so friendly, fully proficient in English, and made communication effortless. It honestly felt like we were in the hands of people who genuinely care about making your day perfect.
The venue itself is pure magic — like a scene from a movie. The stunning views over the Chianti hills, the charming stone buildings, the peaceful, elegant garden — it feels as if you and your guests are the only people in the world. The garden for the ceremony is truly one of a kind, a perfect spot to say “I do” surrounded by nature’s purest, most intimate beauty.
The food is outstanding, a true taste of Tuscany. From the breakfast, to the aperitivo, pizza dinner and wedding dinner - it was all delicious. Lorenzo and the team even made us a round tiramisu instead of a traditional wedding cake, and it was not only at a good price and very delicious, but it looked absolutely stunning — a perfect match for the surroundings. To quote the bride “Lorenzo’s tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had”.
The wine, especially their own rich red, was a huge highlight — smooth, deep, and perfect for toasting to a new marriage.
The rooms are all different, yet effortlessly elegant and cosy, filled with charming details and a rich sense of history. The venue also has beautiful “getting ready rooms”, perfect for both the bride and groom — intimate, beautiful spaces filled with character — a wonderful start to a wonderful day.
We chose to make our own playlists and ren the speaker at Borgo Castelvecchi instead of hiring a DJ, and it turned out perfectly. The team made sure we had everything we needed, and the result was a wonderful, heartfelt celebration under the Tuscan sky.

We celebrated our wedding at Castelvecchi this September, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! This amazing and authentic gem, nestled in the heart of Tuscany and surrounded by stunning wineries, stole our hearts from the very first visit. We fell in love instantly, and our hearts were full from that moment on.

The team at Castelvecchi was beyond incredible—extremely helpful, friendly, and always ready to adapt to our needs. From the beginning, they worked with us on every single detail, ensuring everything was seamless. Their dedication made our wedding day stress-free and truly magical. A special thank you to Barbara and Daniele, who were always there to manage everything with grace and flexibility, making sure everything went off without a hitch.

Sofia and her team handled the food service flawlessly. The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant team ensured the event ran like clockwork.

The venue itself is large and versatile, which allowed all of our guests to stay with us. This made our celebration even more special—we hosted a Pizza Party by the pool the night before the wedding and a relaxed BBQ the evening after. For an international wedding like ours, Castelvecchi was the perfect choice, giving us the opportunity to spend more time with our loved ones in the most beautiful setting.

We cannot rate Borgo Castelvecchi highly enough as a wedding venue.

The venue is so picturesque and peaceful. It’s private and feels like a home from home. The fact you can have the entire place for your friends and family made our whole wedding experience so special.

The rooms and apartments were all different but all elegant and with authentic Italian interior design. Whenever there were small issues with the rooms - for example, lights not working or showers not draining properly, Barbara would get it sorted within hours and made us feel like nothing was a problem.

The different areas within the venue were all perfect and there were lots of options to ensure we utilised all parts of the venue. The pool was great, the pergola area and view was exceptional and the square and villa settings were just beautiful.

The food at the restaurant was delicious across all the days of our wedding. Sofia and Lorenzo run an incredible service and could not have been more helpful with our guests dietary requirements. The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and relaxed. The prices for drinks were also so reasonable.

Barbara has been lovely to be in contact with. She is fast to reply with helpful voicenotes, flexible with all services, very accommodating and relaxed.

We had an amazing wedding weekend at Borgo Castelvecchi. There was nothing negative we could say apart from it was over too soon and we wish we could do it all again!

The venue is very beautiful and charming. Good wines, and the food is amazing. Very friendly staff as well. We had pizza party and wine tasting on Friday. The pool was used a lot by all the guests. We got married in August 2024, and we had 65 guests. The whole weekend was perfect! This is the perfect location, you don’t have to look further 😍

We came in from the States to attend the wedding. We were the first guests to arrive and were very welcomed by the staff. Through out the two days of celebrations the staff were very polite,respectful and responsive. I would highly recommend this venue. It was a beautiful area, we loved it.

We viewed 6 venues in Tuscany before we found Castelvecchi and we are so so glad that we did! The venue and location are stunning, but the reality of our wedding weekend exceeded our expectations exponentially

We had 102 guests but it still felt cost and intimate. The on site team were phenomenal. All the preparation took place around us seamlessly. Nothing was too much hassle, even a few last minute changes were accomodated and adapted to without fuss.

The villa is a stunning location for the wedding breakfast, whilst the borgo square was a warm and welcoming setting for the other meals. The pool was an awesome size for everyone to celebrate at a post wedding pool party with us, and the team even created a bar and served lunch for us all at the pool.

The surrounding vines and valleys provide a tranquil setting as well as a show stopping backdrop for our wedding pictures.

We couldn’t recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a beautiful spot for their Tuscan wedding.

I could not fault anything from the team at the venue nothing was touch trouble. The food was absolutely amazing on every night and in abundance no one went short. The wine was amazing the layout was perfect I would highly recommend this stunning venue.
