The latest musical endeavor to spring from the House of Kingsized, Bogey and the Viceroy ply their trade with much derring-do, turning any gathering into a non-stop dance party!

Born in New Orleans and raised only blocks away from the legendary Fats Domino, bandleader Bogey Thornton has been entertaining audiences all over the map for the past 15 years with his signature brand of swanky soul. Bogey's sweet voice embodies the ease and sophistication of iconic 60's crooners like Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye.

The Viceroy band is comprised of Atlanta music scene veterans who perform regularly together at weddings, gala benefits and fundraisers, public concerts and corporate and private parties. We perform primarily in the Atlanta Metro area, but we travel outside of our home base several times a year for weddings, in the Southeast US and beyond.

For all wedding reception performances Bogey and the Viceroy provide the following:

• Our 8-piece or our 7-piece band playing 2 to 3 sets of live music (number of sets and each set length dictated by your reception timeline) for up to 150-160 minutes of live music at a typical 4 hour reception. The band usually takes one or two breaks, depending on how many sets we are doing. The band consists of Bogey and Glynis on lead vocals, along with keys, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and trumpet. The 7-piece band includes one horn, a saxophone, and has access to the same repertoire as the 8-piece. We play often with the 7-piece band (with saxophone) and it is suitable for all events.
• Bandleader Bogey acting as your emcee, if desired, to make wedding party introductions and announcements throughout the reception.
• For special dances (first dance, parents dances) we offer to learn two new songs, not in our current repertoire, at no additional cost. We ask for at least 30 days notice to chart the songs and rehearse them. If the couple or parents would rather dance to recorded songs by the original artists for special dances, we download the songs, edit them for length, and our sound man cues them up and fades them as needed.
• We provide all recorded music to be played when the band is not performing, including for your cocktail hour if it's taking place in a room or area close to the reception area.
• We provide the full PA sound system, stage lighting and a sound man for all wedding reception performances. A micrphone is always available for use by the wedding party for toasts, speeches, welcomes and announcements.
• Band Manager acting as liaison with your venue and wedding professionals to help with your timeline and maximizing the amount of live music and dancing at the reception.
