Our cake from Blu Boy was amazing. It was beautiful and delicious and they were very helpful in helping us select a cake!

For us, bakeries in Indianapolis were not good enough: we didn't want faux buttercream (either vegetable shortening or cream cheese) or frozen cake. Blu Boy in Bloomington makes real Swiss meringue buttercream--if you taste it, you will understand why this is important in both taste and texture. The other reason we like them is that they use many local ingredients. The most surprising thing to me is that the cost of the cake including delivery and set up was hardly anymore than a local bakery would have charged--and they traveled from over an hour away! The cake was delicious and I couldn't have asked for better results. Also, they coordinated their delivery and set-up with the event manager at the restaurant which took the load off our shoulders.

These guys were awesome! They sat down for our consultation and asked each of us various questions about what we wanted our cake to look like and what styles we felt we liked and then they really worked to make both of us happy. They really combined our two styles (me-pretty, classic and him-different, funky) into one cake!! It was mad hatter style...very topsy tervy...but white with piped scrolling on the sides...different yet traditional.

Our cake was exactly what we wanted and our guests were amazed!

The fondant was delicious (though a little thick) which is a rare thing. All their cakes are made from scratch (which make sure you ask b/c one bakery we tried used all Pillsbury cake mixes and icing...I wouldn't pay $$ for that!). Our cake was 4 layers each was a little bit different.

It was so yummy! And we got a free box of their famous handmade chocolates too!

They were great to work with and the cake was def. worth the money!
